                                  International Conference
               „Development of Knowledge-Based Business Services:
                        Future Challenges and Trends“

                            June 13-14, 2012, Vilnius, Lithuania

       Association „New Generation Science and Business Cluster“ is implementing the project
„Development of Scientific and Practical Environment for Knowledge Management and Social
Innovations“ which is financed according the 3rd priority „Strengthening Researchers Abilities“ for
2007-2013 Operational Programme „Development of Human Resources“ VP1-3.1-ŠMM-05-K
measure „Strengthening of Scientific Research and Technological Development Thematic Networks
and Associations Activity” and is organizing an international two-days conference „Development of
Knowledge-Based Business Services: Future Challenges and Trends “ on June 13-14, 2012 in Vilnius.

         The purpose of the conference is to present the most recent trends of knowledge-based
business services, the most important achievements of knowledge-based companies, findings in the
field of humanities and social sciences, which have a possibility of commercial realization.

        The call for presentations is intended for researchers of the humanities and social sciences,
as well as for practicians – the experts of social innovations and society progress.

       Conference‘s Major Themes:

          The role of knowledge in the sectors if EU economy, the rise and development of
           knowledge-based services;
          World trends of innovations and new economic sectors;
          Formation of knowledge economy and knowledge society, prerequisites of services’
           development in Lithuania;
          The findings of humanities and social sciences, having possibilities of commercial
           realization;
          Cooperation opportunities of knowledge-based sectors of business services;
          Trends of knowledge-based business services;
          Development of international institutional networks;
          Active partnership of science and business in the sector of knowledge-based services;
          The importance of services’ sector for the economic and social development;
          New viewpoint towards regional socio-economic development drives;
          Labor market policy in the sector of knowledge-based business services;
          Cooperation of scientists and practitioners in the context of knowledge-based services’
           innovations application to the educational practice.


The participation in the conference is free of charge. The presentation time is set to 20 minutes. The
conference languages are Lithuanian and English (with synchronical translation).

We are happy to finance your travel and accommodation costs ( with dinner and breakfast), during
your stay in Vilnius.
The papers prepared on the basis of the presentations, conforming to the requirements of the
scientific papers will be reviewed. The accepted papers will be published in the special issue of the
Association “New Generation Science and Business Cluster”.


DEADLINES:

Submission of abstracts and registration forms (see below): May 31, 2012.
Notifications of abstracts acceptance for presentation at the conference: June 08, 2012.
Submission of presentations (slides): June 11, 2012.
Submission of full papers on the basis of the presentation made: June 11, 2012.
