Duathlon championships

   Fort Bliss MWR Sports will host the

Friday. This event will take place at Replica
Aquatic Center, with registration beginning at
5:30 a.m. the day of the event. It is open to
active-duty military assigned to Fort Bliss.
There will be men’s and women’s divisions,
both with age groups as follows: 34 and
younger, 35 to 39, and 40 and older. Awards will
be given for first, second and third places. For

Border Rumble
    MWR Sports will sponsor the Border Rumble
boxing event at 6 p.m. Friday at Stout Gym.
Both male and female active-duty military with
five or fewer amateur fights are welcome to par-
ticipate. Bouts will be determined after weigh-
ins on the day of event. A bout will consist of
three one-minute rounds. Sixteen-ounce gloves
will be used in the lighter weight classes, and

18-ounce gloves for all other weight classes.
Participants need a recent physical, pre-fight
