									                                              ECE Student Exit Survey

The following 8 statements comprise the published objectives and outcomes for our students (you) who are obtaining a
BS degree in electrical/computer engineering. In an effort to assess our program and make continual improvements we
are asking you to take a few minutes to tell us how you feel about our success in meeting these goals. Based on your
educational experience here at SIUE in the ECE department, please circle your level of agreement with each statement.
NOTE: Your answers should be based on your entire ECE program, not just ECE 405

1. I obtained a broad education necessary to make ethical, intelligent decisions regarding electrical/computer engineering
solutions in an environmental, societal and global framework.

        Strongly_agree agree neutral disagree strongly_disagree

2. I obtained an ability to express ideas effectively in both oral and written communication.

        Strongly_agree agree neutral disagree strongly_disagree

3. I developed the ability to use techniques, skills and modern engineering tools necessary for the practice of
electrical/computer engineering.

        Strongly_agree agree neutral disagree strongly_disagree

4. I developed the ability to recognize problems that can be solved with electrical/computer engineering methods and to
design and test a system, component/program or process to solve those problems.

        Strongly_agree agree neutral disagree strongly_disagree

5. I obtained the ability to design and conduct electrical/computer engineering experiments; including the ability to
analyze and interpret resulting data.

        Strongly_agree agree neutral disagree strongly_disagree

6. I developed an understanding of current electrical/computer engineering issues, and recognize the continuing need to
keep informed of current electrical/computer engineering issues throughout my career. I learned that the ability to engage
in lifelong learning is of utmost importance in order to achieve success as an electrical/computer engineer.

        Strongly_agree agree neutral disagree strongly_disagree

7. I learned to function effectively in diverse situations and develop the skills needed to work on diverse teams.

        Strongly_agree agree neutral disagree strongly_disagree

8. I experienced an academic environment that encourages growth and achievement, both personally and academically.

        Strongly_agree agree neutral disagree strongly_disagree
