1. Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, MI

Cranbrook Academy of Art is a small private school near Detroit who takes this approach in art
education, through student exchanges as part of their business school. It serves about 150 students
each year, making it a very small school. It occupies a high position by the U.S. News & World Report,
and a fourth place in the rankings of schools of fine arts in 2008. It contains more fiber arts program
rankings of the nation, and the design of the second highest rank and drawing programs and ceramics at
