Dan Rubinstein
Born in Israel in 1940, Rubinstein came to Zurich, Switzerland in 1964.
He attended Art School in Switzerland as well as lectures on the History
of Art at the University. Oskar Kokoschka and Alois Carigiet encouraged
the then young man to pursue his chosen course. In 1968 Rubinstein
showed for the rst time his work to the Zurich public, at the Max Bollag
Gallery of Modern Art. There followed one-man shows in di erent
cities of the USA and Europe. Since 1981 he exhibits regularly during
the Yehudi Menuhin Music Festival in Gstaad, Switzerland.

Debra Silver
Debra Silver began sculpting in Toronto in the late 1970's at the Three
Schools of Art along with photography and ceramics. She continues to
delve into all those mediums and a few others and currently focuses
most of her energy on photography and Save a Child’s Heart, when she
is not nurturing her 11 year old daughter and playing with her two
grandchildren, 5 and 2.

Fortunee Szpiro
Fortunee Szpiro was born in Lebanon and grew up in a Jewish
neighborhood in Beirut. After the Six Day War in 1967, her family
immigrated to Israel. Sculpting in stone has always been Szpiro's
passion. For many years, she pursued it as a hobby. Lately, it has
became her full-time profession. Szpiro's sculptures combine many
aspects of her personality: sensuality, intuition, softness, rudeness,
spontaneity and technical abilities. The result is a piece of art that
contains many of these contradictory fascinating elements.

Iris Shalam
Iris Shalam went to Fashion Art College in New York City. After a long
hiatus, Shalam started painting again. She painted two years with Victor
Lelouche, nine years with Shlomo Schwartz. Currently she is painting
with Eliaz Slonim.

Itzchak Tarkay
Itzchak Tarkay, born in 1925 in Subotica, on the Yugoslav-Hungarian
border, developed an interest in art at a young age, just after the second
world war. In 1949 Tarkay and his family immigrated to Israel. In 1952,
Tarkay received a scholarship to the prestigious Betzalel Art Academy
and continued to study at the Avni Institute of Art following his military
service. Tarkay has achieved international recognition and has
exhibited in Israel and around the world.

Leo Ray
Leo Ray was born in 1950, in Vilnius, Lithuania. He graduated from Vilnius
University and Vilnius Academy of Arts. Since 1991 Ray lives in Tel Aviv,
Israel. He is active in painting, graphics and small-scale sculpture. Ray is
the head of the painting program at the BASIS School of Sculpture
and Painting. He has had more than 20 one-man exhibitions in Israel and
Lithuania and participated in numerous exhibitions all over the globe.

Walter Ha ner
Walter Haffner’s first attribute is to be a Mensch. He is exceptionally
concerned about the wellbeing of people, old, young or children alike.
Ha ner paints and writes and has exhibited in various venues.
He has served as the Swiss Ambassador to Israel since early 2008.

Glen Shear
Glen Shear’s paintings depict classic artistic themes, with an emphasis
on our quest for meaning and inspiration. Each canvas is constructed
as a sort of puzzle, divided by distinct contour lines which often recall
traditional vitrage works. Images are sometimes hidden and require
discovery. The brightly colored compositions reflect a unique visual
language, inspired by Expressionism, Graphic and Pop art.

Siona Shimishi
Siona Shimshi was born in Tel Aviv. She studied at the Avni Institute in Tel
Aviv from 1956-59. She also studied ceramics at Alfred University in New
York, from 1959-62, as well as at Greenwich House Pottery in New York
City. In 1965, Shimshi was a co-founder of a group of artists called the
"10+ Group", along with artists Buky Schwartz, Ra Lavie, and others.
Shimshi was head of the Ceramic Design Department and taught as a
professor at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, from
1979-87. In 1979, she designed the set for a performance of A Simple
Story by Shmuel Yosef Agnon for the Habimah Theater in Tel Aviv.
Among her creations are a work in wood that is exhibited in the King
David Hotel in Jerusalem, a wall hanging at the Tel Aviv Hilton, a 1998
sculpture for Israel's 50th anniversary that is exhibited in Holon, glass
walls at Kennedy Airport in New York City, and a 2004 portrait painting
of Natan Alterman that appears on the facade of Tel Aviv City Hall.
Shimshi was awarded the 1988 Ariel Elchanini Prize by the Joshua
Rabinowitz Foundation for Arts, for her sculpture in Goren Goldstein
Park in Tel Aviv.
