Obstacles to Overcome in 2010
 7th Principal in ten years (3rd in last three years)
 Had to replaced 50% of staff who had resigned during 2009
    school year
   50% of our students were new because of desegregation order
    with Department of Justice
   Moved into a new campus at end of July
   No student schedule requests from prior year
   Basically a non-existent extracurricular program
   No Academic UIL team
   6 PTA members
   Almost 200 arrests made by Longview PD previous year
   Low teacher morale

   Host a luncheon or breakfast first, to introduce your school to
    the future stakeholders
   Share your vision and mission, invite students and teachers to
    speak, present and serve
   Communicate, communicate, communicate!
