Private Equity Happy Hour Brought Together Private Equity Executives and Professionals From the
Most Prestigious Firms for an Evening of Networking and Cocktails in New York City

(July 18, 2012, New York) Golden Networking’s Private Equity Happy Hour brought Edgar Perez, the
distinguished expert who wrote the high-frequency trading global bestseller The Speed Traders, and author of the
upcoming Beyond China and India: The Remarkable Indonesia Story to Discover Indonesia, the World' Sexiest
Destination for Private Equity Reloaded on July 17. Mr. Perez has interviewed Indonesian investors,
businessmen, government officials and academics conducting research for his upcoming book. He provided fresh
insights from the country of the 17,500 islands that no emerging markets' investor, analyst or practitioner was able
to miss.

According to Mr. Perez, investment opportunities cut across the Indonesian economy; the country has potential
portfolio companies in industries ranging from consumer services and retail to auto and appliance manufacturing
companies. Partially, it is a sign of the emerging middle class that investors see across the developing countries of
Asia. People are taking their India and China business plans and replicating them in Indonesia, which is five to
seven years behind. It is important to note that the private-equity industry in Indonesia manages assets of less than
$5 billion, significantly small compared with a stock market value of $407 billion, according to Gita Wirjawan,
the country’s trade minister. Finally, according to the Center for Asia Private Equity Research, private equity
deals in Indonesia amounted to $545 million in 2011, and could increase fivefold to as much as $3 billion this
year; as way of comparison, in China, the value of transactions was $14.2 billion, while in India $7.8 billion

Mr. Perez is widely regarded as the preeminent global expert in the specialized area of high-frequency trading. He
is author of The Speed Traders, An Insider's Look at the New High-Frequency Trading Phenomenon That is
Transforming the Investing World, published in English by McGraw-Hill Inc. (2011), in Mandarin by China
Financial Publishing House (2012) and currently being translated into Bahasa Indonesia and Portuguese. He is
course director of The Speed Traders Workshop 2012, How High Frequency Traders Leverage Profitable
Strategies to Find Alpha in Equities, Options, Futures and FX (Hong Kong, Sao Paulo, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur,
Warsaw, Kiev, New York, Singapore, Beijing, Shanghai, Jakarta, London, Mexico City, Moscow, Ho Chi Minh,
New York, Dubai and Chicago), and was Adjunct Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of New York University,
where he taught Algorithmic Trading and High-Frequency Finance. He contributes regularly to China's
