You are currently a participant in the County of San Mateo’s Public Agency Retirement System
(PARS) Program. As mandated by the Omnibus Reconciliation Act of 1992, this Alternate
Retirement System is provided in lieu of Social Security for all Part-time, Seasonal, Temporary
and Extra Help employees who are not members of the County Retirement System.
The purpose of this memo is to notify you that a new PARS Participant Website is now available

The PARS Participant Website includes the following information:

    Account Access: Access your own current account balance by entering your Social Security
     Number, where prompted, and your Date of Birth as your password.

    Plan Description: General Information for Plan Participants, a simple description of the
     County’s PARS plan.

    Forms: Designation of Beneficiary Form. Distribution forms are not available online.
     PARS will send you appropriate distribution forms when you become eligible for a

    Social Security Noticing: Important information regarding Social Security.

    Service Providers: Web links to your plan services providers, PARS (Trust Administrator)
     and Union Bank of California (Trustee).
