14th Annual AOS Golf Outing- 2007

            Place:      Palatine Hills Golf Course

            Time:       Tee Times begin at 11:00am
            Cost:        about $57/per person.
                        Cost includes Golf, Cart & Lunch
                        (after golf).

RECAP from the 12th Annual outing, June 15, 2006




The 13h annual outing went on without a hitch. It was held on Thursday June
15 2006 and 23 golfers played. Winners included: Low Gross, Jeff Bert 79
(Hey, that’s 3 years back to back to back). Closest to the pin #17 Jeff Curtin.
Thanks to all who played!! See you next year!!

AOS General Meeting- NEW LOCATION

Remember that AOS bylaws state that all members must attend one general meeting.
There is 1 general meeting left. Due to construction at Palatine Hills Golf Club, this years
general meeting & dinner will be at Bogies Ale House, (The old Loft & original AOS
member Vic Giovannini, Events Manager) 303 East Kensington-Mount Prospect, IL 847-

top officials. The purpose is to advance our AOS members for state assignments. This

3-Person Basketball Mechanics Certification Camp by Rocky Nelson
Dates: TBD in June, 2007 @ Zion-Benton HS
       TBD in July, 2007 @ Crystal Lake South HS

3-Person Basketball Mechanics Certification Camp @ Buffalo Grove
HS Boys Varsity summer shoot-out!!

Dates: TBD June, 2007
Location: Buffalo Grove High School
         1100 W. Dundee Road
         Buffalo Grove, IL 60089

Friday Evening:
     From 6:00pm-9:00pm a 3-hour classroom discussion on 3-person and on-floor walk-
     thru positions.

Saturday-Sunday:
     Officials will be able to referee boy’s varsity basketball games. Games will be held
     from 10:00am-3:30pm on Saturday and 10:00am -3:00pm on Sunday. Every official
     will receive a written critique. This camp is a 6 hour certification satisfying the
     IHSA requirement to maintain officiating license (must be done every 3 years).

High School!


This program is limited to 30 officials. To register or for more information, contact Ed
Curtin at 847-991-3144.
Dates: TBD in June, 2007 (evenings)
Location: Schaumburg High School
Monday Evening:          A 3-hour classroom discussion on 3-person and on-floor walk-
                         thru positions.
Tuesday - Thursday:
      Officials will be able to select which of the 3 evenings they would like to work their 3
      games. Games will be held from 6:30-8:45pm. Every official will receive a written
      critique. This camp is a 6 hour certification satisfying the IHSA requirement to
      maintain officiating license (must be done every 3 years).

2-Person Basketball Officials Camp

Ed Curtin will be again accepting registration for the above 2 person
Basketball Officials Camp. This is focused for the new or beginner level
and is open to all. It is run in conjunction with the Schaumburg HS Boys
Sophomore summer league. For more information, please contact Ed at
