INCREASED FINANCIAL EFFICIENCIES WHILE REDUCING RISK - Reversed the practice of loose financial
controls and overspending which had produced significant in internal deficits. Reduced operating
costs 23% and invested surplus income for maximum return. Launched a separate company to
manage financial and back office operations, which later expanded to service additional client
TEAMBUILDING- Through a process of identifying, developing and empowering top co-workers, a
climate of excellence emerged. Over time, a hand selected management team tripled program
diversity and expanded market penetration over 500%, ultimately expanding customer participation
by more than forty fold.
COMMUNICATING THE VISION- Focused customer service operations to accommodate a fundamental
philosophy shift, empowering the staff to view problem resolution from the customer’s perspective.
Incorporating listening and communication skills into the training syllabus, staffers were
encouraged to view concerned customers as opportunities for success. Systems produced
significantly higher employee esteem and productivity, directly related to a satisfied client base.
START UP OPERATIONS- Launched a derivative company which rapidly developed major economies of
scale thus significantly reducing operating costs. Product diversification contributed significantly
to financial stability while bolstering name recognition internationally. In a related instance, a
joint-venture with a large association of schools further expanded publications, integrating
proprietary material into middle school curricula.
1997-2012, Served in various capacities with Greater Europe Mission (GEM), a missionary sending
agency with over 300 missionaries and staff serving in 30 countries in Europe and more than $20
million in annual revenue.
2009-2012, Director of Advancement responsible for creating an organizational fund
development program in a 60 year old organization that previously relied on individual missionary
fund raising efforts. More than doubled organization raised contributions and held first ever major
donor conference which achieved a 4:1 ROI.

2001-2009, US Director/COO responsible for all GEM initiatives in the U.S., and also as
corporate Treasurer in which role I was responsible for the financial affairs of the mission.
Increased investment income and reduced operational expenses 23%.
1997-2000, Originally hired as Director of Human Resources. Oversaw a 300 person staff
dispersed throughout Europe and North America. Brought the organization into compliance with

Colorado Springs. Here I teach classical Hebrew and koine Greek in addition to developing a graduate
seminar on Religion in Society.
1996-97, Chief Operating Officer, MOPS International (Mothers of Preschoolers), Denver, a non-
profit organization providing support for mothers raising young children. Reinvigorated the
organization to meet an aggressive growth mandate. Refined mission focus, established a pro-active
posture among the staff, and overhauled database tracking systems. Established Internet marketing
initiatives, tripled the number of major donor fundraising events, and instituted marketing initiatives to
produce a 92% growth in MOPS groups and a 60% growth in corporate revenue.
1984-95, Professor and C.O.O., American Christian College Inc. (ACC), d/b/a Summit Ministries,
Manitou Springs, Colorado. Responsible for all strategic planning, HR, financial operations and
budgeting, I integrated Information Systems, improved interdepartmental communication and taught a
wide range of Christian worldview courses to college and graduate level students.
Throughout my tenure with ACC, initiatives expanded market penetration 40X, tripling offered
programs and expanding curriculum into over 600 schools. Added a full range publishing division
through the process of expanding this 120 employee operation 400%.
Earlier, 1981-83, Colorado Springs Christian Schools employed me as Assistant to the
Superintendent. This entailed financial reporting, budgeting, facilities management, interviewing,
hiring, staff supervision and HR functions. Throughout this period enrollment grew by 50%.
1980, Managing Partner Cascade Pool Service, driving business growth of more than 100%.

Active in the community, I serve as Chair of the Board of European Christian Mission-USA, and have
chaired the Board of Governing Elders, Pulpit Rock Church, Colorado Springs. Previously served on
numerous Christian Ministry Boards including New Geneva Theological Seminary, HealthQuarters
Ministries and Colorado Springs Christian Schools. Founding member and past officer, Colorado
Springs Chapter Christian Leadership Alliance.
