This comprehension strategy can be used as a pre-reading,
during reading, or post-reading activity. To construct a
semantic feature analysis chart, record the objects to be
compared in a column on the left side of the chart. Then
record attributes of the objects on a row above the chart.

finger down the first column and across each row, one
attribute at a time. Place a (+) in each square for which the
attribute is true. Place a (-) in each square for which the
attribute does not correlate.
