The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) might have been dumped by 26 corporations and four non-profit organizations, but that hasn’t stopped 21 of these corporations and two of the non-profits from continuing to date “The Other ALECs.” Put another way, the romantic relationship between state legislators and corporate lobbyists hasn’t been eroded in the United States. Indeed, the relationship is still in its full throes and the Valentine’s Day cards continue to be passed.
