Enterprise HR Transitions to the Department of Administrative Services, effective July 1, 2012 Legislation eliminates the State Personnel Administration As part of Governor Nathan Deal’s initiative to streamline state government through the consolidation of agencies and services, the State Personnel Administration will be abolished as an agency, effective July 1, 2012. Enterprise human resources functions will transfer to a new division within the Department of Administrative Services (DOAS) called the Human Resources Administration Division (HRA). HRA Division Core Services The HRA Division of DOAS will have three operating subdivisions: Compensation and Benefits Administration, Policy and Compliance and HR Enterprise Services. The official mailing and billing addresses for the new Human Resources Administration Division (HRA) are listed below. The new office/mailing address is: 200 Piedmont Ave. Suite 502, West Tower Atlanta, GA 30334 The billing address is: 200 Piedmont Ave. Suite 1802, West Tower Atlanta, GA 30334 Email and Website Addresses Will Change As a result of the consolidation, email and website addresses will change on July 1, 2012. All HRA Division employees’ email will use email@example.com . Current email addresses for SPA employees who will transfer to the new HRA Division will be redirected to their DOAS email address. However, to ensure delivery of your message, we recommend that you directly type in the new email address, if you know it, and save it as an update in your contact lists. The HRA Division email address will be HRA@doas.ga.gov. The state human resources website address will also change. The State Personnel Administration website, spa.ga.gov, will be decommissioned and content transferred to the DOAS website. Information about HRA can be found on the DOAS website at doas.ga.gov, under the “State and Local Government” tab on the Homepage. The direct link to the division section of the site is hra.doas.ga.gov. Like the employee emails, the spa.ga.gov URL will be redirected to the HRA Division section on the DOAS website. One important change that you will need to note is the redesigned log-in screens for the Drug Testing, Job Classification Redesign Project Information, and HR Salary Planning Administration tools. These tools now have a similar look and feel; however, the User IDs and Passwords will be different. Please continue to use the same User IDs and Passwords that you used to access these tools on spa.ga.gov. As always, our website will serve as the main source of information for all enterprise HR initiatives and activities.
