Dear Ridglea Pool Member,
Welcome to Ridglea Pool’s 56th Swim Season! ! I hope you’ll join us once again for a summer of
family fun! Enclosed you’ll find member enrollment materials, including the calendar, information
and policies, and fee schedule. We are pleased to offer last year’s $350 family rate to all families,
when paid by May 1. We will continue to accept credit card payments for dues, or you may use the
E-Z Payment Plan. Please see the enclosed Schedule of Dues and Fees for more information.
Free group lessons for member children will continue to be provided by our staff. Class days, times,
and sign-up information will be posted by opening weekend. We plan to continue adult water
exercise, and that schedule will also be posted when the pool opens. Again, session dates, specific
classes, times, and sign-up instructions will be posted on the SWIM LESSON BOARD in the lobby
after the pool opens.
Please see the enclosed flyer about the Ridglea Rockets swim team. We have enjoyed participation
of 100+ swimmers between ages 5 and 17 over the last several years. Swim team is a great way to
become acquainted with other pool families, and swimmers and parents alike enjoy the excitement
of competition and the camaraderie of the team.
The pool relies on active members’ dues to stay in business. The more active members we have,
the better a value we are able to offer and the more we are able to provide in activities and
improvements to our facilities. Help membership grow by sharing the gift of RSPA with friends,
neighbors, and co-workers. Are you active in a group or organization that puts out a regular
newsletter or has a community bulletin board? Contact us for material to post and share. We will be
providing each enrolled member unit with a “Friends Swim Free” pass to share with a prospective
individual or family. These will be mailed as enrollments are completed throughout the spring. If you
are a returning associate member interested in becoming a shareholder, please note as such on
your enrollment. A waiting list is maintained and shares are made available on a first-come, first-
served basis. If you are a current shareholder no longer using the pool, please consider donation or
sale of your share back to the pool so that the pool may benefit from having as many shareholders
actively involved as possible.
Don’t forget Ridglea Pool for your end of the school year/end of season/graduation parties! If you’re
interested in hosting an event, please contact us by phone or email for arrangements.
Please complete the enclosed enrollment form, and return it with payment to P O Box 470036, Fort
Worth, TX 76147-0036. If you have questions about membership policies or enrollment, please call
me at 817/927-2101. I look forward to welcoming you and your family back to the pool! See you this

For Your Information
FAMILY MEMBERSHIP POLICY
Family members, in the Pool Board’s definition, are the same as that of the IRS. That is, your family
consists of head of household, spouse, if any, and unmarried children to age 19, or student
unmarried children to age 23, ONLY. Only these persons will be issued season passes under
your family membership. This does not include sitters, nannies, children you are sitting or your
children’s non-family playmates. Nor does it include adult children or retired parents who have
returned to the nest, unless they are disabled to the extent that they are legitimate dependents on
your tax return. In the case of one membership held in a separated family, only one parent may
utilize the membership with children; the other should join separately as an associate or new
shareholder member. ADULT CHILDREN AND THEIR CHILDREN DO NOT QUALIFY FOR SWIM
PRIVILEGES EVEN THOUGH THEY RESIDE IN A MEMBER’S HOME. When returning enrollment
forms, please do not list adult children unless you are prepared to submit proof of age and
residence. Sharing of memberships by more than one family is not permitted. Please do not ask for
exceptions to this policy.
If you have a share that is not being used, and/or have outgrown the pool or moved, you may
transfer your share to a family who will use it, donate it back to the pool, or sell it back to the pool.
All transfers must be handled through the pool organization in order to be official and for the
transferee to have swim privileges once his/her dues and fees are paid. A share is not transferred if
it is simply handed from one party to another, and the recipient of a “gift” share is not entitled to
shareholder privileges unless an official transfer has been completed through the pool organization.
Please see Frequently Asked Questions for instructions to donate or sell a share.
Each family member age 2 and over will be issued a season pass once dues are received.
These may be picked up at the front desk beginning on opening day. You will be asked to provide
identification when membership cards are issued during the first days of the swim season. (Passes
are never mailed.) YOU WILL BE ASKED TO SHOW A PASS FOR EACH FAMILY MEMBER UPON
ENTRY TO THE POOL. NO ONE OVER TWO YEARS OLD WILL BE ADMITTED WITHOUT A
PASS OR GUEST FEE. Guests are admitted ONLY when accompanied by current dues-paying
members via cash fee or guest cardpunch. Babysitters, grandparents and others who accompany
member children and families but ARE NOT SWIMMING will not be expected to have a pass or pay
a guest fee. Members of your own household may not swim as guests if not on your membership.
Weather, school calendar and water conditions may require adjustments to operating hours. When
advance notice is not possible, changes will be posted at the pool. There are some slight
adjustments to the operating hours this summer. Please review the enclosed calendar/schedule.
Group swim lessons for children will be offered at no charge for MEMBERS ONLY. Paid private
lessons are available for all ages through a third-party vendor. Swim lesson sign-up and class
schedules will be posted at the pool after opening day, and a tentative session schedule appears on
the calendar page in this packet. Information is also available via email.
Our two large grills are available on a first-come, first serve basis for our members.
BRING YOUR OWN CHARCOAL AND UTENSILS.
SNACKS Packaged snacks and drinks will be available for purchase at the north end of the lobby
Our large picnic tables are available for parties and family gatherings BY RESERVATION.
Please call the pool or see the desk clerk to make arrangements. Tables will be marked if
they are reserved.
The Board encourages children of Member Families to apply for employment at the pool. This is a
long-standing tradition that works well for the pool and its membership. We feel that pool member
employees feel more responsible for good operation of the pool, in many cases. Certified lifeguards
and front desk persons are invited to apply. Requirements include a good work ethic, ability to take
initiative when needs arise, pleasant demeanor and conduct, and a real interest in the condition of
the pool facilities.

Please see the enclosed flyer(on reverse of cover letter) for sign-up, workout and meet schedule, as
well as fee and coach/coordinator contact information.
HAS YOUR ADDRESS CHANGED?
Don’t forget the Pool in your change-of-address notices! We spend many hours each year,
re-directing meeting notices and enrollment packets. Forwarding orders often expire between your
move and the pool’s normal mailing period. This information may also be emailed to us.
FREQUENTLY ASKED MEMBERSHIP QUESTIONS
Q. We’ve been members in the past, but only plan to be involved in swim team this year. Can we swim otherwise?
A. Swim Team fees do not include swim privileges for non-current-member swimmers outside team workout times and
meets, or for non-current-member team parents or siblings at any time other than team-sponsored family events.
Q. I only pay dues so my grandchildren can swim. Can they be on my membership?
A. YOU MAY SELECT THE PLAN THAT BEST SUITS YOUR SITUATION: GIVE A FAMILY MEMBERSHIP TO YOUR
CHILDREN; OR PAY FOR A SINGLE SWIMMER MEMBERSHIP FOR YOURSELF AND BRING THE
GRANDCHILDREN AS YOUR GUESTS. Note: If your grandchildren are legitimate dependents of your household, they may be
included in your membership and the Family Membership dues apply.
Q. I’m on a fixed income and can’t afford to pay my dues in one payment.
A. TAKE ADVANTAGE of the Early Bird discount rate by paying by May 1, and use our Payment Plan; or take advantage
of credit card payment to divide your dues into more manageable payments. To utilize the Payment Plan option, send in
your completed enrollment card with 1/2 or 1/3 of your total dues. Payments must be complete by May 1 or the full After
May 1 dues rates apply. Reminders will not be sent except by email.
Q. We are shareholders who: Have outgrown the pool/moved/built our own pool and won’t be using our membership/
want to give our share to our child/neighbor/friend so they can enjoy the pool. How do we handle this?
A. If you wish to dispose of your share, endorse the certificate and mail it to P O Box 470036 Fort Worth, TX 76147,
with a brief explanation stating whether you intend to transfer to a specific party or donate to the pool. If transferring, the
recipient pays a $10 transfer fee with enrollment— the old share will be retired and a new one issued in his/her name. If
donating, thank you!
Note—if you have given your share to a friend or family member without a transfer through the pool,
the recipient is not entitled to shareholder privileges or shareholder dues rates. A share must be in
the name of the holder in order for swim privileges and shareholder rates to be extended.
~Current Season Dues must be paid in order for swim privileges to be extended to any member.~
