           Project Summary
   Problem: Drinking water which tests
    outside the desired values may be
    dangerous to your health.
   Hypothesis: Bottled water will contain less
    amounts of contaminants than either well
    water or tap water.
   Null hypothesis: Bottled water, well water
    and tap water contain similar amounts of
    contaminants.
                 Introduction
   Whether you’re taking a cool drink of water after
    an early morning run, brushing your teeth before
    bed, or playing with your kids in the pool, you
    should know that your water is healthy, clean
    and pure.
   In this experiment, samples will be taken from
    three different sources of drinking water: tap
    water, well water and bottled water.
   After the analysis of the three samples we will
    have a better understanding of what is actually
    in our drinking water.
     Objective and Hypothesis
   Objective: To test the levels of
    contaminants in well water, tap water, and
    bottled water.
   Hypothesis: Bottled water will contain less
    amounts of contaminants than either well
    water or tap water.
   Null hypothesis: Bottled water, well water
    and tap water contain similar amounts of
    contaminants.
         Methods and Materials
   Methods
       Samples where taken from the water fountain
        at Pennebaker Hall at Tennessee Tech
        University, my parents house in Decherd, TN
        a spring on Seven Springs Rd. and from a
        bottle of Aquafina water.
