                                           INTRODUCTION
Welcome to A+ Affiliate Marketing Tutorials. This guide is intended to give you the strategies you need
to build a highly successful affiliate marketing business. There are two parts to this eBook; getting a
subscribers list and making that list profitable. By the end of this eBook you will have the proven
strategies that will build your subscriber list.

As an added bonus you will also receive three fast ways to monetize your sales funnel.

    YOUR ROADMAP TO FOLLOW

In a nutshell, your basic affiliate marketing funnel starts with incoming traffic and funnels through your
squeeze page which is the lifeblood of the entire funnel. Once they sign up they become your subscriber
and they will be sent to your download page. Your subscribers will receive a series of auto responders
that you will set up which will include a thank you email.

With that being a brief overview, I will cover each step in depth. When it is all said and done you will
have your first Affiliate Marketing Funnel. Then for the fun part — making money!!

5 www www.curtisbarrett.com
                                 YOUR ROADMAP TO FOLLOW
                                      SQUEEZE PAGE

The squeeze page is the key component to the funnel. From both a sales and subscriber point of view
the squeeze page is king. Often times you will hear the squeeze page referred to as a landing page. Think
of it this way, your squeeze page is the doorway to your entire affiliate marketing funnel.

If you have a poor squeeze page that does not convince people to sign-up then they will never enter into
your funnel. What will happen if they don’t enter your funnel? That’s right — they have no chance of
being your customer which means you won’t make any sales from them.

When you have a good squeeze page of a forty percent sign-up rate or better, more people come
through your funnel. The more people that sign up, the more you can leverage those subscribers to
generate even more money. What is even better is when people who have already signed up, they sign
up again. These people are then put through your sales funnel a second time and given another chance
    to buy something.

In the end it does become something of a numbers game. Let me give you an example to explain
further. Let’s say we have 200 visitors that go to our squeeze page and 10% (20 people) of them put in
their name and email address and click the “Get Access Now!” button. What do you think the chances
are of making a sale? The answer is slim to none! How fast can you grow your business at this rate? Yes,
it will grow but at a snail’s pace.

Now let’s take those same 200 visitors but this time there was a 40% success rate. Instead of having 20
people subscribe we now have 80 people on our list. What are the chances of making a sale with those
numbers? Yes, they are a whole lot higher. What about growing your business? Eighty subscribers is four
times the number of subscribers as the first scenario and the exact same amount of work was done.
Which would you prefer? So, how do you make a great squeeze page? I’m glad you asked!! 
Here is an example of the key components of a squeeze page.

6 www www.curtisbarrett.com
    HEADER

        TITLE

    WEB FORM

Above are the first three parts of a squeeze page
         • Header image - Most people like to see some sort of logo but it doesn’t have to be anything
            complex.
         • Title: What is it that you are giving away and why should it remotely interest anyone. You will
want to let people know what the value of the eBook is (When in doubt pick an amount
            between $17 - $37).
         • Web Form: This is a form you will get from your auto responder program which will be covered
in a future step. You will want to request their first name and email along with a button telling
them what to do with the form, i.e. “get access now”. It is a good idea to change the standard
“submit” to anything else as it will increase your subscription rates.
         •
A note about privacy. This will also be at the bottom of your squeeze page so it isn’t necessary to have it
    in the web form itself.

Often time’s people will sign up in the first box without even going on to the second. However, when
they do continue it is usually because they want to know more and this is where you will provide
features and benefits of your product.

7 www www.curtisbarrett.com
    FEATURES
              &
    BENEFITS

This is the section where you write about the features and benefits of your free product. It doesn’t have
to be anything too complicated. Just be honest about what the product can do. Don’t say something like
“This will help you raise $1,000,000 in two weeks” when you and I (as well as your subscribers) know
that is entirely false. Provide five to six bullet points and you will do fine.

All in all you are trying to give your potential subscribers a reason why they want to give you their name
and/or email address. This is less likely to happen if you don’t have a product of value to give them for
    free.

Now there is only one other section to the squeeze page…

8 www www.curtisbarrett.com
       Cover

    Web Form

    Spam Notice
    FOOTER
In the bottom section we want to wrap things up with:
         • eBook Cover (Optional). While not necessary many people like the look of the book cover. If you
have one you may as well put it in and it should be displayed just before the second auto
            responder web form.
         • Auto Responder Web Form. This can be either the exact same one that was earlier on the page
or, if you want to know which one (top or bottom) is getting more clicks then create a second
web form. You don’t need a new list just a new web form.
         • A spam notice. Tell them that you are not sharing their email with anyone else. While you will
share offers with them, you will not hand out their email addresses. Most places won’t even let
you get away with this anyways.
         • And Finally, a footer image. While this is not strictly necessary, a lot of people like the added
color. You can see just the very tip of it on this image.

9 www www.curtisbarrett.com
                                   YOUR ROADMAP TO FOLLOW
                                       DOWNLOAD PAGE

The download page is not only a great place to monetize; it is also a great way to trade leads. For this
part of the guide we are sticking to the basic (see Bonus Section for monetizing tips). At this point we are
perfecting our site, not striving for perfection.

A few key things to note:
         1. Say thank you and let them know that this is the download page (the first line)
         2. Mention that you will be emailing them later. This helps reduce peoples surprise and lowers the
amount of headache that you have to deal with.
         3. Then mention that this is the download link. This part of the text will always remain next to the
             download link.
         4. A simple text based clickable download link (see where it says “Click Here”?).

10 www www.curtisbarrett.com
                                  YOUR ROADMAP TO FOLLOW
                                     AUTO RESPONDERS

One of the critical components that you will need is an auto responder. This is how you gather, store
and email to your subscribers. Without it you probably will not get very far. Quite a few people use an
auto responder called AWeber. If you don’t have an auto responder you will need one to finish your
     affiliate marketing funnel.

Here are the relevant strategies that you need to consider for your auto responder: Double Opt-in vs
Single Opt-in. How often will you email your subscribers? And what to include on your web form.

     Double Opt-In

When they sign-up to be a subscriber you will send them a confirmation email from your auto responder
system that they will need to verify requesting your information.

Advantage: People who are on your list have had to agree for a second time that they want to be on
your list (hence the term “double opt-in”). This will cause your list to be smaller but potentially more
responsive. The reason it will be smaller is because a lot of people don’t go to their email and click the
     link needed to be verified.

Disadvantage: You probably will lose at least 25% of the people who initially signed up.

11 www www.curtisbarrett.com
     Single Opt-In

When they sign-up they are automatically added to your list. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.

Advantage: You get a higher subscriber rate because you are not losing that 25% that didn’t click on the
link in the email you send them. Your list will grow bigger but not necessarily more responsive.

Disadvantage: It is possible that more people will report you for spam. They may also do nothing and/or
     unsubscribe from your list.

     Web Form

Basic rule of thumb, the more information you request from the viewer, the less likely they will become
a subscriber. There is only one critical piece of information that you must have and that is their email
address. The other piece of information that most people ask for is the first name.

The huge benefit of having someone’s name allows you to make the email more personable. So it is a
tradeoff and you need to decide which way you want to proceed. Whether it is a big difference or not is
not something I have any conclusive proof of. So take your pick. Would you rather be more personable
at the possible downside of having more subscribers or have the subscribers but lack the ability to make
it personable (which may cause fewer clicks overall). That’s a personal decision — you decide.

Also, do note that it is important to send the thank you page for those who have subscribed and not
subscribed to your download page. If you choose double opt-in then send them to a page telling them to
confirm their subscription in order to receive their download.

     (Sample Web Forms)

12 www www.curtisbarrett.com
Submit vs Get It Now Button

Do you see how the first blue button above is titled “Submit” and the second one is titled “Get It Now”?
The latter will always generate more clicks than the first button. Change the text to whatever you want
to call it, just don’t leave it at “Submit”.

     Raw HTML Web Form

One last thing to note when using AWeber web forms. Always use the raw HTML. The reason being is
that JavaScript can be disabled on any web browser. This would result in your web form not showing up
if they use the JavaScript version.

13 www www.curtisbarrett.com
                                   YOUR ROADMAP TO FOLLOW
                                      THANK YOU EMAIL

The “Thank You” email is where your subscriber will find the download that you are giving them for
opting in. In this email you will tell them to be on the look-out for more offers. This is vitally important
because you want to make sure that your subscriber is both happy that they chose to get your download
AND so that they aren’t caught off guard when you email them again.

Your entire purpose is to get them to your download page and notify them of additional emails. (We will
build on this later on in the bonus section).

Anatomy of a Thank You Email

There are five vital elements to your email; Subject, Greeting, Download, Signature and P.S. There is an
     important aspect of each element.

14 www www.curtisbarrett.com
As you can see from the screenshot, you don’t need much for a successful basic thank you email.

        1. Subject Line: This tells the subscriber that this is the download they just requested
from you Keep it nice and simple. If you notice I called mine resources (note the
plural) so that I can add to this later (see bonus section below).
        2. Greeting: The greeting is your typical salutation. This is where it would be nice to
be able to include their name – but it is very possible you would not even have
their email to send them this thank you letter if they wouldn’t have wanted to
provide their name in the first place. If you have been collecting first names be sure
to include them. Your auto responder will tell you how to do this step. The whole
point of this is to say hi, thanks and here is how you can get started.
        3. Download Link: Thank them for requesting your free report and provide the
download link. If you use any sort of tracking (i.e. AWeber) it will be impossible for
you to understand. They’ve already signed up so you will send them straight to the
download page. Also, I would recommend putting in a budurl link (as shown in the
example - or any other tracking link) so that you know how many people click on
this link. For example, by using a tracking link I will know how many of you clicked
on the http://budurl.com/CBFUNNELDL link here. Extra Links: If you have
additional pages such as a blog or other similar pages then place it in this email as
well. As you can see I have a basic link to my blog. Again wrapped by a budurl so I
           can track clicks.
        4. Signature: Your signature is how you sign your emails. Many people stick with just
their first name and that is fine. Personally I choose to be known as Curtis Lee
Barrett. That is how I sign all my email. Placing a phrase before your name is
suggested, “To Your Success” is a common one. If you have something unique
about yourself or your offers then change it. This makes it personal. Having a
signature is good, having a unique one is better. Remember we are working to turn
           YOU into a valuable brand.
        5. The P.S.: This example does not include a P.S. but it is a good idea to use one after
your signature to tell them that you will be sending them additional emails in the
           future.

15 www www.curtisbarrett.com
                                   YOUR ROADMAP TO FOLLOW
                                       THE CONCLUSION

In order to turn a visitor into a subscriber you must have a solid Affiliate Marketing Funnel. We’ve just
walked through the basics you need. Your Download Page, Auto Responder, Squeeze Page, and Thank
You Email are the four basic pillars to your successful A+ Affiliate Marketing Funnel. With these in place
you are now ready to have visitors come to your site and move from being mere visitors into active
     subscribers.

What is next on your Journey? There are many things that you can do. The two that I would recommend
are monetizing your funnel (seen in the Bonus Section) and getting traffic. While this guide does not go
into the details of getting Traffic you can start keeping an eye out for these methods:

                     1. 1-500 subscribers:
                            a. Blog Traffic
                            b. Article Traffic
                            c. Traffic Swaps
                            d. Solo Ads*

                     2. 500+ subscribers:
                           a. Joint Venture Ad Swaps

*This is an option that will quickly get your Affiliate Marketing Business to the 500 level. However, it can
cost upwards of $300 to do.

That’s all I have time for today. Be sure to check out the Bonus section below to monetize your A+
Affiliate Marketing Funnel. Also be sure to keep an eye out for additional A+ Affiliate Marketing
Strategies, Step by Step tutorials and How-To Guides in the future.

                                    MONETIZING YOUR FUNNEL

Now that you have completed the first step, building your affiliate marketing funnel, it is now time to
move on to the second step: Monetizing Your funnel. This is the first step in having not only a successful
list but also a successful business. To get started you are going to learn three fundamental ways to make
your funnel profitable today. They are your One Time Offer (OTO), Download Page Affiliate Banners, and
     Email Affiliate Links.

     Basic Concept of Monetizing
Obviously we are not in this to spend time providing people with free links to various free products. You
and I both are in this because it is a business and a business is meant to be profitable. You have a reason
why you want an online business. It may be you want to pay off your debts, have more time for your
family or hobbies, have the freedom to be your own boss, retire at a reasonable age or even just to
support yourself because nothing else is working. Whatever your reason is for getting into online
marketing, you have to make money.

First up the One Time Offer.

18 www www.curtisbarrett.com
                                  YOUR ROADMAP TO FOLLOW
                                    ONE TIME OFFER (OTO)

One Time Offers (OTO) are the core of your sales funnel. This basically fills in the space in-between your
squeeze page and your download page. This funnel starts once your visitor click “Get Access Now” and
     becomes a subscriber.

If they say no then you will simply redirect them to the original free giveaway download. This ensures
goodwill on your end towards your subscriber. Otherwise they may think that you did a bait and switch.
But don’t worry, they are now on your list and you will have other opportunity to sell to them.

If they say yes (click the buy button) then you send them over to your shopping cart. Since this guide is
looking for both cheap and cost effectiveness with what money you do spend, PayPal is free and easy. I
use it and it works fairly well. It does not do everything you might want. But for the price, free, you can’t
     beat it to get started.

Once they’ve bought and paid for your product they get sent to the download page. And if you read
further (just after the PayPal section) you might just discover a hidden bonus included.

                                   YOUR ROADMAP TO FOLLOW
                                       OTO SALES PAGE

Now we move on to the physical pages of the OTO.

First, let’s go back to your web form right now. Remember the two links, “Thank You” and “Already
Subscribed” that I said to point to the download page? It is time to change them. Now, instead of
pointing to the download page you point them at the OTO page.

Any OTO offer that you purchase/find should include its own website code. You don’t want to be writing
it from scratch and there is no reason that you should. If it doesn’t contain the website code then pick
another one. If you want you can find someone to do your website graphics for $100-$200 but… I
thought we were doing this cheap, right?

Next, include a no thank you button. If they don’t like your offer make sure that at the bottom of the
page they will find a nice, simple link that says click here to continue. Again this is to communicate good
will to your customer that there really is a free download at the other end.

Remember: This is not a page that you are writing yourself. This is a page that you already have available
     through the MRR product itself.

20 www www.curtisbarrett.com
                                  YOUR ROADMAP TO FOLLOW
                                          PAY PAL

Next you just need to set up your PayPal button. If you don’t have a PayPal account then go create one
at www.paypal.com. Then proceed to these steps. If you forget to do this there is no telling who is going
to get paid. But it sure won’t be you.

         1. Log into PayPal.
         2. Click Merchant Services on the menu bar.
         3. Click the “Buy Now Button” in the middle of your screen.
         4. Fill in the Item Name: Example Click Bank Cash Blogs AFTER PURCHASE CLICK "Return to
              Merchant" ***
         5. Set your price (typically $7 to $37)
         6. Click “Step 3: Customize Advanced Features”
         7. Down at the bottom is a checkbox that says “Take Customers to this URL when they
finish checkout” Make sure it is checked. Then put in your OTO download page link.
         8. Click Create Button
         9. Now you will typically click “Email” and copy that link. Inside the OTOs buy button you
will find a similar link. Simply replace that with your own PayPal link.

***Note of caution: Include the words <AFTER PURCHASE CLICK "Return to Merchant"> at the
end of your PayPal button’s name. The buyer must click this to get their download. Not
everyone clicks the “Return to Merchant” even when write it in the title. And you will inevitably
get some irate emails from people who did not receive their download. Put yourself in their
shoes and realize you would be frustrated too. Simply send them a brief email:

                Dear <name>

I am so sorry that you had problems with your purchase. Here is the download link
that should have come up when you clicked the “Return to Merchant” button.

                < download link here>

Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with.

                Sincerely,
                Your Name

Using this method I have yet to hear back from anyone, no matter how irate they may have been. (Feel
free to copy the text found here. It is not an image.)

22 www www.curtisbarrett.com
                                          ADDITIONAL BONUS
                                            BUYERS LIST
Just to warn you up front, because it is outside the scope of this eBook and it is time consuming, I will
NOT be explaining how to make money with a buyers list. However, it is so simple and it can be set up in
a matter of minutes (doubly so because you’ve already done it earlier). But I will let you know that this
will be built upon in subsequent materials created by A+ Affiliate Marketing Training. And the bigger
your buyers’ list is at that point, the greater your potential for profit.

What you would normally do with a buyer after they purchase? Simply send them on to their download
page. This method is good, but not great. Why? Because PayPal does not record their name and email
address for you. These are people who have already bought something and are more likely to continue
     buying things in the future.

Not everything will easily fit onto this page so I’ve put a screenshot of the most important part below.

         1. Thank you for your purchase (not shown here)
         2. Mention that before they can go to the download page they must confirm their
purchase. IMPORTANT: Please Confirm Your Purchase Below Now (shown above). In
BIG BOLD words tell them that they must put in their name and email address to get to
            the download page.
         3. Tell them what it is that they just bought and will get access too by doing so.
         4. Web Form: We’ve already created one for the main squeeze page. The only catch here
is that we want to send both “Thank You” and “Already Subscribed” people to the
download page. The “Already Subscribed” is just to cover our bases in case someone
            has already purchased from us.

Remember some people will not click the “Return to Merchant” link. Now instead of sending them to
the download page, send them to this page. Keep an eye out in the future for intermediate/advanced
     monetization techniques.

                                 YOUR ROADMAP TO FOLLOW
                                    OTO DOWNLOAD PAGE

Quite frankly there isn’t much I can tell you about this particular download page. It should be included
with the MRR product that you purchased to use as your free product offer. All you have to do is upload
it along with the files. Should you have to create your own then follow the original download page guide
to create it. I’m mostly mentioning it here because it is a part of your sales funnel. And people do get
rather irritated when you sell them something then don’t deliver it.

                                   YOUR ROADMAP TO FOLLOW
                                          SUMMARY

From start to finish we present the subscriber with an option to buy. From that option to buy they can
say no, which leads them to the download page. Or they can say yes, which sends them over to PayPal.
You have learned the secret of creating a buyers list (remember: this is a separate list than your main
subscriber list). Even if you do not yet make use of it, this will become one of your most powerful keys to
financial abundance. From the buyers list they are redirected to your OTO download page. The
subscriber will get their original download because you sent them an email.

Check out the resources page if you are having trouble finding an OTO.

25 www www.curtisbarrett.com
                               Download Page Affiliate Banners

Recognize that “REMEMBER” Be on the … statement from the original download page? Here’s how we
add to that to monetize your blog. All in all the banners page is pretty straightforward:

        1. Add the line “Check out these Unannounced Bonuses First” right after the image
           but before your banners.
        2. Take your BEST affiliate link and place it first. If you don’t have a best then just
recognize this, the first position will ALWAYS get the most clicks.
        3. Add another two to four bonus affiliate links. If the affiliate partner is a good one
then (s)he will have a banner already set up for you to copy paste onto your
           download page.

After your last affiliate banner comes the download link. Nice, easy, and simple. The basic template is
Thanks, Unannounced Bonuses, Affiliate Link 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, and download text + link. Any questions?

*Hidden Bonus #2* – Didn’t we just look at another download page? Yup you can put affiliate links there
as well using this same principle.

26 www www.curtisbarrett.com
                                         Email Affiliate Links
Remember how simple our original email was? Now it is time to expand on it just a little bit.

         1. At the section that says “Before I show you…” just after you talk about the eBook and
before you say “Here is Your Download.
         2. If you want to, add the line “Just click below to access your free bonuses…” Do note
that if you have a paid product in there, simply say “unadvertised” or something
            similar.
         3. Add the bonus section.
                 a. Bonus #
                 b. One line description of what it is
                 c. Your affiliate link
         4. Repeat #3 for as many bonuses as you have to provide. Three to eight is good but
keep in mind that too many will cause people to get annoyed.

How does this make you money? Every time someone clicks on your link and signs up they are given an
opportunity to buy something. If they buy something you get paid a portion of that sale. Some of them
will even keep track of who signed up from your referral link and if they buy something within a specific
amount of time then the sale also gets registered to you. Nifty isn’t it?

                                                 Resources
That wraps up this eBook. Here are a few good resources to get started:

     Auto Responder
A great auto responder is AWeber. You can send as many email messages, broadcasts and have as large
a list as you want using AWeber. I like the various stats and metrics that they provide. Plus I can easily
follow their tutorials when creating new lists.

     Hosting
If you are in need of a good web host I use Blue Host Domains. Great product and great tools which
makes it easy to host any number of websites. Plus once you purchase your first domain all the others
are just $10 a site for the year. That’s less than $1 a month.

     One Time Offer
If you bought the Master Resell Rights (MRR) off of my OTO (Click Bank Cash Blogs) you are more than
welcome to use it for your own. That is the point of Master Resell Rights. If you prefer to find something
a bit more unique or perhaps didn’t buy it and cannot find one, then go check out
http://masterresellrights.com. You should be able to find plenty of resources to fill your OTO needs.
