                       Wednesday 5 August 2009; Term 3, Week 3
Dear Families

Join me in congratulating our Zone Sports athletes. The Wanguri School Zone
team represented our school at a very high level this year. I wish to personally
thank Ms Alison Sadowski for her planning and enthusiasm around organisation
during the lead-up and on the day. Alison’s qualities are certainly appreciated.

Last week we had the pleasure of hosting our Chief Minister, Honourable Paul Henderson. It was
great to have him present merit certificates at assembly and acknowledge the fantastic progress our
students are making. In his other role as Minister for Education, Paul always asks me many question
about numeracy and literacy progress in the school. I am pleased that we are making positive
progress in these areas.

In terms of school pride, our school enjoys a high level of
satisfaction in this area. One example of this is all students
wearing full school uniform. Last week 50% of classes wore
100% full school uniform. The remaining 5 classes varied
between 87% and 95%. WELL DONE!

                                        Kind Regards
                                        Jenny Robinson

                                                                                               .
