August 2002 up to now: Site Engineer, Cosmic Background Imager Project (CBI),
California Institute of Technology. CBI is a special-purpose radio telescope designed to
study the cosmic microwave background radiation from the early universe. It is located
at an altitude of 5080 m (16,700 feet) in the Chilean Andes. Main functions: systems
supervisor and response team duties on Power Suply, Cryogenic and Cooling system,
maintenance and checks on a daily and weekly base schedule, maintenance and upgrade
of receivers, running the night observation schedules, backup the observation’s data,
April 2002 to July 2002: Project Manager, Access Time Consultores. His main
functions were: technical and financial proposals for technological solutions to improve
Management Task (CRM, Worksflow), analysis of requirements and process evaluation
for consultancy services. Lead a team of software developers (2) and systems engineer
(2) to implement Information Technology projects on time, with the client satisfaction,
and within the budget assigned. Highlight: Management System of property Developer
Project (workflow, Client: BancoEstado), Legal Services Management System
(workflow, Client: BancoEstado). Both project were implement using DNA Microsoft
technology. Design of a Virtual Private Network, using GNU software (Red Hat Linux),
to connect three Company’s Branches over Internet (Client: Transagro Chile S.A.).
December 2001 to March 2002: Chief of the Engineering System Unit, Operation
Department, Synapsis Chile. This unit was conformed by an Engineering Staff (12
engineer). His main functions were: requirement analysis, develop and implementation
of solutions for the information services operation and maintenance based on the
computer’s platform of Synapsis (composed by 5 datacenters).
February 2000 to December 2001: Chief of the IT unit, of the Informatic Division,
Internal Affair Minister of the Chilean Government. This unit was conformed by an
Engineering Staff (5 engineer), and a Support Team (10 technicians). Highlights:
Project Manager of the “Internet Publication System Project for the Mayors and
Councilmen Elections of 2000” and the “Internet Publication System Project and Press
Official Center, for the Deputies and Senators Elections of 2001”. His principal duties
were: design, implementation and testing of Internet Services: webhosting, mail servers,
DNS servers for government’s organizations. Design and implementation of a webfarm,
balancing web system, videoconference, video streaming (with Windows Media
Server), wireless Lan. Definition and implementation of a security policy for Internet
Access (firewall, sniffer, content filters), voice encryption (Omnisec product)

March 1999 to January de 2000: Advisory Engineer of the Informatic Division, Internal
Affair Minister of the Chilean Government. Highlights: Project Manager of the
“Internet Publication System Project of the Presidential Elections of 1999”.
