Pain and swelling in the groin or hip area, difficulty
in walking and standing up from a seated position,
these are some of the common symptoms that
many patients who were part of the DePuy recalls
experienced. But aside from this, their health is also
risked to other problems which can be brought by
the complications of metal on metal devices, like
                                                      the ones implanted on them.

A lot of patients who were part of the asr recall
have already decided to file lawsuits against DePuy Orthopaedics, the manufacturer of the recalled hip
replacements. There are about 6000 lawsuits that would be put on trial later this year. But despite the
great number of hip recall lawsuits already filed and being processed, there are still a lot of patients
who choose to remain silent and carry the burden of being part of the recall by themselves.

Individuals who were part of the said recall are advised to contact their hip lawyers even if they are not
experiencing problems with the device implanted on them. Unknown to these patients, the symptoms
that comes with the defective hip replacement device does not stop with revision surgeries and
common post-surgery symptoms, as it can also lead to other serious health complications.

After the announcement of the recall on 2010, tons of studies about the side effects of Metal on Metal
devices, like the ones recalled by DePuy has been made. A warning was released by Health Canada that
patients who received MOM devices should be aware that they are subject to problems that come with
their hip replacement systems. Patients who received such kind of devices should be well monitored for
signs of metallosis or metal poisoning that they can develop from the implant.

The problems that could develop from the recalled hip replacements are far more serious than what
you may have heard or read. And if you base your silence on the mildness of the case and it not being
much of a trouble to you, think again. The date is set, and after the deadline on August 2012, you would
not stand a chance to go after your rights anymore.

There are a lot of competent lawyers would be willing to help you in this battle, and once you have
chose the one who can represent you, you would definitely be on your way to get the settlements that
you deserve for all the trouble you experienced.
