Healthy Farms Healthy Farmers Forum in Manilla
Ever wondered what climate change really means in terms of which livestock breeds
will cope? Will you need to change your crops or pastures to cope with rising
temperatures and the prospect of less water? What can you do to prepare mentally
for some of the biggest challenges to hit Australian agriculture?

These and many other questions will be answered at the Healthy Farms Healthy
Farmers Forum in Manilla on Friday, 13 June at the CWA Rooms from 9:30 am

David Ware, Chairman of the Tamworth Manilla Landcare Association, wants farmers
from across the Namoi Catchment to come along to the Manilla Forum and hear from
some of leading proponents in the fields of:

 Managing stock in changing environments – Alastair Rayner
 Pasture management in changing seasons – Bob Freebairn
 Mate Helping Mate - John Harper
 Services provided by Namoi CMA
 Carbon credits and what it actually means on the farm
 Handling farm equipment in a healthy way

There is also a Mate Helping Mate Dinner with guest speaker John Harper to be held
the night before on Thursday, 12 June at the Gunnedah Services Club at 6 pm for
6.30 pm. A sit-down, two course dinner is provided.

Both events are sponsored by YWCA NSW, Tamworth Manilla Landcare, NSW DPI,
Liverpool Plains Land Management Committee, and Namoi CMA.
