The Cardinals lost their opener 47-36 to Paw Paw. Bloomingdale hung tough for most of the game, but could not overcome a big 3rd quarter by Paw Paw. Bloomingdale was paced by sophomore Gary Jones who had 21 points. The Cardinals traveled to Martin for game 2 and were given a huge emotional lift by Barry Logan making his first start of the season. Behind Logan’s defense the Cardinals raced to a 22-2 first-quarter lead. Gary Jones once again led the team in scoring with 22 points and was supported by Devonte Brock’s 12 points. Bloomingdale played 4 consistent offensive quarters scoring 14, 14, 16 and 13 in a 57-42 win at Watervliet. Devonte Brock hit 2 three pointers and led the Cardinal fastbreak scoring 19. Barry Logan scored 18 and scored 16 in the 2nd half. Matthew Douglas had a good rebounding night and was supported by an all around great floor game provided by Adrian Bosby. Seth Adams broke up Watervliet’s press in the 4th quarter, hitting several Cardinals for lay ups. Ther Cardinals suffered a hard-fought defeat in their final game of 2010, losing 57-51 to Bangor. Bangor took an early lead and used balanced scoring to hold off a late charge by Bloomingdale. The Cardinals had 8 players score and J.V. Boys Start Season were led by Barry Logan with 20 points. Bloomingdale is looking forward to with Five Wins competing in 2011. The J.V. Boys Basketball team has begun the season on a positive note by winning each of their first five games in convincing GIRLS JV BASKETBALL fashion.
