The 2012 Sweetheart is Geri Gorsegner. Her nomination was made at the Sweetheart
Ball held on Feb. 11th. Geri has been in the Auxiliary for several years and has held a

she never expected to be chosen Sweetheart.
The Sweetheart celebration was a huge success and was well attended by the Lodge

                                        80’s Night at the Elks
Elks and their guests went back in time to the 80’s. It was a great night of nostalgia, dinner, dancing and all around fun.
The lively band “Checkerd Past” did a wonderful job of providing the sounds reminiscent of our younger years.

It’s now countdown time for my term as president. It has been a real learning experience. Thanks to all my officers and committee
people who made the auxiliary functional. The nomination committee has submitted the names of members running for office and
nominations will be taken from the floor at our March 6th meeting. Members, please show your current membership card for admission
to the meeting. No guests will be admitted that evening only. Hope you can make it and show support for the new officers.
We’re honored to present our Lifetime Members who were voted on at our February meeting. They are Peggy Bean, Carolyn Butcher,
Marianne Lawrence and Marilyn Robinson. Congratulations!
At the time of this news letter, I have no idea who our new Sweetheart will be. The secret is in the hands of past Sweethearts, Helen
Humbach, Marianne Lawrence, Kathy Eddy, and outgoing Sweetheart, Sylvia Wyland.
Our Monday Spaghetti dinners are doing well and will be ending March 26th.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all.

In today’s economy, many Lodges are experiencing financial and other difficulties.

business practices and/or a disregard for proper or required procedures. Mondays from 5 – 7 pm
Successful Lodges are those that comply with the requirements spelled out in
the statutes and manuals of the Order. A lack of success is often a result of Officers Lodge famous Spaghetti,
being inexperienced, unaware of the requirements and/or purposely disregarding the Sauce, Salad, Garlic

Lodges are encouraged to adhere to sound business practices, comply with our
