What is Google Apps?
Google Apps is a special version of iGoogle, set up specifically for ASD20. All students and staff have an
accout, and students and teachers alike can use Google Docs, Google Sites, and so forth. This is not
possible with a regular Google account.

How do we log in?
Username: firstname.lastname@example.org Password: Regular password

This is what you
see when you
login. Docs are
To share a document with your
students, you can go to your Google
Docs and either check the
document(s) you want to share, then
click the Share button, or open the
Document and click the Share button.
When the sharing window pops up, enter the user
name of whomever you’ll be sharing with, followed
by “@student.asd20.org” (for students) or “
@staff.asd20.org” (for staff) even if they don’t have
a valid asd20 e-mail.
If you are sharing with colleagues or other staff
members, click on the Send Invitations button. They
will get an e-mail that a document has been shared
If you are sharing with students (or they are sharing
with each other), click on the Skip sending
invitations button. The document will still be
shared with them, but the system won’t try to send
When they log in, they will see the document(s) you
have shared with them when they click on Docs
