I’d like to take the opportunity to introduce you all to a new addition to our Under One Woof staff.
Erica Marshall is joining us as a trainer and will be offering many of the classes that I, as one person,
just haven’t had the time to do, or to do enough of, and that many of you have been hankering for.
Erica is a New England native who has recently returned from living in Missouri for the last 4 years.
She’s been working with animals in one capacity or another for over 15 years. Erica began her work with
dogs in a boarding facility and from there moved into working at a Humane Society in Vermont. There,
she worked closely with the shelter trainer and learned to observe and decipher dog body language as
well as how to work with behavior problems and help owners to teach their dogs basic manners. She also
ran her own pet-sitting business; relishing the opportunity to care for many different animals and
assisting their owners in reinforcing training. She worked as a technician and receptionist in a veterinary
office in New Hampshire, which gave her insight into the medical side of animal care. In Missouri she
apprenticed under Misti Fry CPDT (certified pet dog trainer) of Side Kick Dog Training where she
taught puppy classes and also taught shelter volunteers how to train the shelter dogs at the Humane
Society of Southwest Missouri. Currently she shares her home and life with a husband, two daughters, a
Great Pyrenees named Green Bean (Beanie), a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy named Jojen and four
cats. She and Beanie did puppy training and tricks classes with Misti Fry and also completed Home
Manners, Public Manners and Dogs About Town as well as some Rally Obedience classes. Beanie received
his Canine Good Citizen title and they were a certified pet therapy team with Pet Therapy of the Ozarks
in Missouri. Erica has also worked with numerous rescues in Missouri doing home checks and foster care.
In addition to training group classes at Under One Woof, Erica is starting her own private consultation
and in-home training business called Wicked Good Dog Training; a great complement to our Good Dog
group class offerings.
I have every confidence that Erica will be a wonderful addition to the awesome staff at Under One
Woof. She brings a breadth of training experience that in many ways surpasses my own . Our combined
training knowledge and styles will complement each other and help us each to grow individually as
trainers. I’m so happy and pleased to be able to offer continuing fun and education to all of our
wonderful training clients (2-legged and 4-legged) in Erica’s competent hands.
Thanks to everyone for your continued support!
