AP Summer Academy
Classes run from July 2 – July 26, 2012
Welcome! The Milford Public Schools seeks to provide high school students with the opportunity to
prepare them for the academic rigor associated with Advanced Placement classes that they will be taking.
Students are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity even if they have prior AP experience.
The AP Summer Academy will take place at Jonathan Law High School. Parents and students are
responsible for their own transportation.
This program is tuition-free, non-graded, and students will earn .4 credits for participating. During the
course of this program students will be exposed the general skills and course-specific expectations that
are necessary for success on the AP exam.
The first two weeks of this program will focus on strengthening AP skills in Social Studies, Mathematics,
Science and Language Arts. During this time students will attend four 45 minute classes per day; one in
each content area.
The second two weeks students will select two 90-minute AP course modules each day. These modules
will focus more specifically on the individual AP course offerings.
