Morecambe Armed Forces Weekend Grand Parade and Drumhead Service. Parade will muster at the
Clock Tower and march behind Morecambe Brass Band to the Morecambe Arena area where the service
will be held. Also in attendance will be approximately 100 motor cycles and riders who will have just
completed a ride from Bull Beck picnic site. Afterwards in the Winter Gardens Morecambe Brass Band
will hold a free concert to wind up the wee3kend. There will be stalls manned by ex-servicemen and
others around the outside of arena and a WW11 Spitfire will be on show and for a small fee you can have
your photograph taken with it. All monies raised to go to Service Charities.

The Roses Historic Vehicle Run Finishing at Williamson Park, Lancaster Arriving from 11.30am
Come to the park and see some amazing vintage vehicles; from motorcycles to commercials, or why not
bring your own along. Cars will be grouped into classes according to age. As well as some classic
vehicles Lancaster City Brass Band will be playing during the afternoon to celebrate the end of the run.
The 12th Historic Vehicle Run will leave Bradford via Halifax, Todmordon, Burnley, Clitheroe, through the
Trough of Bowland to Williamson Park in Lancaster. If you are interested in joining the rally please visit

The Morecambe Bay open water swim. The swim takes place in the bay, providing a great spectacle for
those watching from the promenade. The swim distance is 1 mile and will be a mass start event for all
swimmers, there will be a 500m event for less experienced swimmers. All competitors must register on
the morning of the event at Morecambe Yacht Club on the day and collect their timing chip, swim cap and
event memento. There are limited changing and shower facilities available at the sailing club and the staff
will be serving morning refreshments. There are several parking areas close to the sailing club and start
area, many of which are pay and display, details of the parking areas will be highlighted in the pre-event
