PREREQUISITES: MCT 1500: i-Net+ or MMSP 1100: Introduction to Web
Design and Animation or instructor’s consent


CATALOG DESCRIPTION:

Web Authoring is a course focusing on the design, development, and
maintenance of World Wide Web pages using the Extensible HyperText Markup
Language (XHTML). Students learn how to manage Web page fonts, colors, and
graphics, and will create Web pages which include text, images, tables, frames,
forms, and image maps. Students will use cascading style sheets (CSS) to control
and format Web page content.

STUDENT CONTRIBUTIONS:
Students are expected to attend class regularly, read the required textbook,
spend sufficient time outside of class to complete assignments, spend an
adequate amount of time in the computer laboratory to complete computer
activities, take exams on the scheduled dates, and turn in assigned work on time.

The college makes available, at no additional cost to the student, the computer
hardware and software necessary for the completion of the course. Computers in
laboratories are available throughout the school day and for extended hours on
selected days.
