Contoured to the hand, with a ‘nose’ that does not bend and expose the blade, even with heavy duty use. Revolutionary patented design valley, guides material onto and along the surgical steel blade. As the valley deepens, the pressure on the blade is increased and the cutting action is more effective , thus taking the strain off the operator and increasing overall efficiency. For right and left handed use. All operators should be trained in the correct use of the Fish 200 Safety Knife. SAFE SYSTEM OF WORK FISH SERIES 200 APPLICATION 1. The Fish Series 200 effectively cuts the following materials:- Strapping Tape String Banding Plastic Bags 2 Ply Card Cable Ties Stretch/Shrinkwrap Plastic Sheeting Rope (up to 6mm) It is not recommended to be used on any other material. 2. The aim of the Fish is to reduce the risk of injury normally incurred when using a standard open bladed knife. 3. It is recommended that The Safe System of Work be adhered to at all times. 1. Ensure knife is fully closed and screws fully tightened 2. Both blades must be regularly changed for optimum cutting 3. Only ever use blades BL200S & BL200H 4. Hook blade is recommended for cutting tape and cardboard 5. Never exert excessive force in operation (check for worn blades) 6. Hand should have a firm grip around safety knife and used as shown 7. Always ensure free hand is clear of cutting path 8. If placing Fish in pocket ensure the hook cover is fitted correctly alternatively , place in holster - hook down 9. Never attempt to modify the Fish in any way 10. Never allow an untrained person to use the Fish 11. Report any injuries sustained when using the Fish 12. People using knives or cutting implements should not be distracted 13. A2 INSRUCTION POSTER AVAILABLE SAFE SYSTEM OF WORK FISH SERIES 200 STORAGE STORAGE BEFORE USE Safety Knives must be stored in a dry and warm environment due to the internal blades. Original packaging must be maintained if possible. IN USE The operator is responsible for the location of the safety Knife. When not in use this must be stored in a holster hook blade downwards. Do not place on worksurfaces where adequate supervision cannot be given. BLADES STORAGE BEFORE USE Blades must be stored in original packaging in a dry and warm environment. The life of carbon steel blades is reduced when exposed to damp conditions. Handling of blades can remove the protective oil. IN USE Store spare blades in the internal storage pocket. Replace regularly. If used in a damp environment change blades more frequently. DISPOSAL For a safe working environment retain blunt blades in internal storage pocket until they can be disposed of in designated sharp bins. Blades should not be disposed of in normal waste bins or on worksurfaces etc. To comply with legal requirements, any contaminated blade should be incinerated.
