Funder CV

This is a short CV which details the following:
 Personal details including education and employment
 Main Publications in the last five years (Peer Reviewed Journal articles, Books and Book
    Chapters from 2005)
 Research Projects awarded in the last five years
This has been set up in accordance with funder guidelines (see below).

General guidelines for format for CVs from Funders (primarily Research Councils)

All documentation should be clear and legible and conform to the following requirements:

Font
 A sans-serif font style such as Arial or Helvetica should be used
 A minimum font size of 12 (recommended) point should be used
 Type should be justified only on the left hand side

Formatting
 Most Councils/Funders require CVs to be no more than 2 sides A4 paper
 Minimum margins in all directions of 2cm must be used for all attachments, regardless of the
Council/Funder that you are submitting to
 Do not add page numbers to attachments as these, and the proposal reference number, will be
inserted automatically when the document is submitted to the Council/Funder (to ensure
all sections of the application are collated for subsequent processing)

Content
In general, CVs should include basic information about education / qualifications, employment history
and academic responsibilities. A list of the most relevant / major publications in the last 5 years and a
record of funded research should also be included. Most Councils/Funders require that any lists of
publications should be included within the CV and not submitted as a separate document. (Note: for
AHRC, publication/research output lists should be separate).

 Current Teaching and PG Supervision

Proceedings and Others from 2005 including those forthcoming / under review )

Probation / Promotion / Review (see links to guidelines below).
