Abbey Santander Scholarship Guidance Notes and Application Form Scholarship Overview Edinburgh Napier University has entered an agreement with Abbey, part of the Santander Group to promote closer ties between Scotland and Iberamerica. 1 The Scholarship is broken down into the following categories to provide support for: The recruitment of postgraduate students from the 11 Iberamerican countries Mobility grants for travel to and from Iberamerican countries Scholarship Details, Allocation and Eligibility Criteria Students, staff or prospective students should apply for scholarships in their chosen area by completing the application form at the end of this document. Applications for more than one scholarship are permitted, for example a post-graduate scholarship and a mobility scholarship. Post Graduate Scholarships Scholarships of £5000 available, one for each faculty: The Business School, the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Creative Industries and the Faculty of Health Life and Social Sciences. Students should be resident in one of the 11 countries outlined in the scheme and the scholarship is intended for Masters study rather than PhD (although all applications will be considered). Mobility Scholarships There are a minimum of 7 scholarships available for students/staff to study or research in the 11 Iberamerican countries in the institutions within the Santander network. The maximum allocation for each is £1500. 1 Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, Venezuela, Spain and Portugal. Criteria for application Evidence of residence in one of the countries participating in the scheme is required before monies are awarded. Academic records will be checked before monies are awarded. Only complete applications will be considered. Recipients must agree to report back to the Abbey Santander and the University on the utilisation of the award and agree to a certain level of publicity surrounding its receipt implementaion allocation.
