The staff of the English Language and Literature Department of Kodolányi János
University of Applied Sciences is looking forward to meeting you at the conference on
the Siófok Campus in the following subthemes:
1. Remembering the origins
2. The colonial past
3. ’Act locally, think globally’
4. The trend in reverse - globalization
5. Transgressing literary, cultural and linguistic boundaries
6. Artistic and cultural reflections
7. Politics and arts / culture
8. Transcultural communities
9. Continental aspects and regionalism
10. Minorities
11. Ethnicities in the English-speaking world
12. Changes in focus – from international theatre to globalized theatre

The deadline for proposals has been extended to December 20. Please submit proposals
for presentation, including title, an abstract of up to 200 words, and a short bio to the
conference organizers, Dr. Krisztina Kodó, Professor, (krisztina.kodo@kodolanyi.hu ) and Dr.
habil. Anna Jakabfi, visiting-professor (anna.jakabfi@kodolanyi.hu ).

The conference fee is 60 EURO (including refreshments, info packet, and Thursday
night reception dinner).

A special reduction of 10 EURO (from the sum of 60 EURO) is possible for those who
pay before 28 February 2011.

Important notice!: Make sure you mention the title of the conference, along with your name,
and also whether you need the acknowledgement at your own name or that of your institution,
in which case please provide us with the necessary information. When paying, please count
one week for arrival of your payment through bank transfer as usual in international bank
transfers.


Reminder: Speakers are invited to present 20-minute papers. 10 more minutes will be
allotted for further discussion. We are also planning to publish an edited version of the papers
presented at the conference in an electronic format. You are kindly requested to bring along
an edited copy of your paper in MLA format to be submitted to the organizers before the end
of the conference.
