Dear member nations and associations,
On behalf of the Jordan Squash Federation, we would like to cordially invite players from your association to participate
in the JORDAN JUNIOR SQUASH OPEN 2012.
Following are the detail championships information:
1. Championships Date: 24th – 28th April 2012. Matches will commence on the morning of Wednesday 25th

4. Venue: Al-Hassan International Squash Center, Al-Hussein Sport city, Amman, Jordan
The Complex has 6 singles squash courts.
5. Age categories : Boys: Under 19, 17, 15, 13, 11
Girls: Under 19, 17, 15, 13, 11
6. Age Cut-off Date: April 28th
7. Prizes: There will be prize money for the first 4 positions in the B19, G19, B17 and G17 categories. Trophies will
be awarded in all categories. (See Appendix 3)
8. Eligibility: The tournament is open to all juniors of any nationality provided the player is not bannedby the Asian
Squash Federation. Each player can enter only ONE division in his / her age category or in a higher age category, if
so desired

10. Entry Fees:
The entry fee for the tournament is $300 per player or official. It covers 5 nights’ accommodation from

24 April to 29th April 2012 on twin sharing basis. There will be no refund for unused nights. Check out by 1200
hrs. on 29th April 2012
Entry fee is inclusive of breakfast and dinner in the hotel, and light lunch in the venue.
Extra nights will be charged at $40 per person per night based on double occupancy inclusive of hotel
breakfast.
Single rooms can be booked at the rate of $500 for 5 nights inclusive of all meals. Extra nights are
charged at $80 per night inclusive of breakfast.
The entry fee without the accommodation and food package is $50 per player.

11. Transportation: Shuttle bus service between hotel and venue will be provided on regular basis.
12. Airport Pick-up: Queen Alia International Airport is the official tournament airport. Delegates will be met at the

airport upon arrival. Flight details (Appendix 2) must be provided by Saturday 14thApril 2012. (Late information
may NOT be accommodated)
13. Scoring & Format :
All matches will be played to the best of 5 games, 11 points – PAR (Point-A-Rally). WSF Rules of the World
Singles Game will be applied throughout the tournament.
Format of each division will be decided by the Jordan Squash Federation depending on the number of entries.
All players are guaranteed A MINIMUM OF 3 MATCHES (A Bye is considered a match).
Players will be expected to play two matches a day.
14. Protective Eye Wear: Wearing of Protective Eye Wear is Mandatory.
15. Racket stringing: Rackets can be re-strung at the Championship Venue. Stringing charges will apply
16. Clothing Regulations: ASF Clothing Regulation shall apply without exception.
17. Seeding: Seeding will be carried out by the ASF Seeding Committee. The decision of the ASF seeding committee shall
be final
18. Ranking Points: Points will be awarded to all juniors – whatever their nationality – participating in the tournament.
Participating juniors will be included in the Asian Junior Ranking list in their relevant age group. The Asian Junior
Ranking will be updated every two months and uploaded on the ASF website (www.asiansquash.com). The event is
registered as a WSF World Junior Circuit event, boys and girls participating in the under 19 category will receive
WSF ranking points
19. Tournament Regulations: The Championships will be run in accordance with the ASF Championship Regulations
20. Official Ball: The Dunlop Pro XX (double yellow dot) ball will be the official ball for the tournament
21. Foreign Currency Exchange: The currency of Jordan is the Dinar and the approximate prevailing rate is USD 1.00 =
0.71 Dinar
22. Entry Submission: All entries MUST be submitted using the attached official entry form (Appendix 1). Only
entries duly endorsed by the respective National Squash Association (NSA) shall be accepted. The completed entry
form must be returned by fax: +962 6 569 0840 or email: jor.squash@hotmail.com
The participation fee MUST be settled with Jordan Squash Federation upon arrival.
