PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
1996-Present      ROXBURY COMPREHENSIVE COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER, INC., ROXBURY, MA.
                  SENIOR FAMILY THERAPIST/SUBSTANCE ABUSE CLINICIAN
                  Providing intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations. Short and/long term individual, group, family,
couples therapy in English and Spanish languages. Primary to Hispanic and African American families dealing with substance
abuse or dual diagnosis and issues such as reunification with their children, homelessness, unemployment,
emotional/physical/sexual trauma victims, domestic violence. Designed managing and supervise a master level year long
practicum program for the Department of Counseling & school Psychology for the University of Massachusetts and other
colleges that have Roxbury Comprehensive Health Center as placement for master level Marriage and Family Therapist and
Mental Health Counselors interns, including reporting to faculty regarding progress and evaluation since 1999. Approved
Supervisor for the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. After hours covering clinical emergencies for the
department’s clients. Part of the team management for the department developing the department directions and strategies,
making decision in all level clinical, administrative, staffing and creating the yearly budged for the past eight years.

1995-1996         HISPANIC COUNCIL OF CAMBRIDGE, CAMBRIDGE, MA.
                  DIRECTOR OF SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND HIV SERVICES DEPARTMENT
                  Responsible for operation of agency’s substance abuse and HIV services for Spanish speaking families.
This included the Outpatient Clinic, Driving under the Influence/Alcohol education program.. HIV prevention/education and
case Management programs. STD Outreach/Education Program. Supervised Coordinators of each program site. Managed the
day-to-day affairs of these programs recruited, interviewed and hired staff. Trained, supervised, developed, and evaluated
professional counseling staff providing substance abuse treatment, including (Spanish speaking only) clinicians. Established
and maintained contact with appropriates federal, state and local agencies and grand providers. Oversaw billing and completed
quarterly report for programs representing $500,000. Responsible for creating new models and proposals that resulted in an
additional $167,000 award. Developed services for Latino Community.

1994-1995         WOMEN’S HOPE OF VICTORY PROGRAMS, INC., JAMAICA PLAIN, MA.
                  BILINGUAL CLINICIAN
                  Worked in a Fourteen-day intensive in-patient rehabilitation program for alcohol and drug dependent clients
and their families. Provided daily psycho-educational group sessions. Group, individual, family therapy and aftercare plans.
Serving primary to the Hispanic clients as the only bilingual clinician.

students. Participated on community councils, boards and groups as appropriate to further objectives of the center. Maintained
case records. Recommended social service policy and interdisciplinary approaches.
