The purpose of this position is to serve as Supply Clerk to support the Squadron Supply functions.
Receives and inspects all material incoming from local vendors, Base Supply and stateside. Screens same against
accompanying documents to ensure items and quantities are correct. In case of erroneous material delivery, e.g. size,
quantity or damage, coordinates with purchaser, vendor or Base Supply for correction. Transports all processed
receipts to the appropriate warehouse area. Accepts material from closed and cancelled word orders and transfers
same to residue, holding area or stores. Validates residue material, determines unusable items, prepares necessary
documents and delivers to Base Supply or DLA Disposition Services. Coordinates with shops and Planning Section
before turning in unneeded excess material. Performa a joint inventory with Planning Section for completed work
orders. Prepares and counts material in bins when scheduled by the Inventory Section. Ensures availability of
material safety data sheets (MSDS) for all stocked and issued hazardous material. Identifies and properly stores
hazardous and flammable material such as Freon, propane, gas, acetylene, oxygen and paints. Provides protection
of personnel and prevents deterioration and contamination from cold, light, heat and moisture. Maintains spill kit and
spill plan. Manages centralized supply stocks in five stores to support bills for material, work orders, direct scheduled
work, appliance repair and administrative needs. Establishes and projects fiscal year requirements for heating fuel
for 25 facilities based on past history, authorized allocations and anticipated changes. Determines delivery dates in
accordance with storage space availability. Takes physical inventories and adjusts book balances accordingly.

EDUCATION & TRAINING: E&T Level 2 - Mittlerer Bildungsabschluss/Intermediate secondary school diploma or
a completed apprenticeship with certificate of completion in a commercial or administrative business / trade field.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 1 year of creditable experience (experience includes any type of work or activity
of an applicant that has provided the basic knowledge, skills and abilities needed to successfully perform the major
tasks of the position for which considered.

As a rule one year of creditable experience must have been gained at one level below the
grade for which considered.

PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENTS: Fair command of the English language is required to be able to understand,
speak, read and sign for receiving documents, write labels and simple statements and operate the computer system.

   - Must be able to carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
   - Operates Material Handling Equipment (MHE) as required.
