Document Summary and Analysis Chart

     Directions:
     1. Take turns reading the documents your group receives.
     2. Write a short summary of each document your group has, followed by analysis, i.e.,
        what does the document imply about the issue (s) it addresses and/or what is the
        relevance of the point of view of the author.
     3. Discuss what your documents say about the time period (note that change over time
        might be relevant in your analysis) and develop a hypothesis on what the question is.
     4. Begin to barter with other groups for the documents you do not have, taking time to
        discuss and analyze each in regard to your hypothesis.
     5. Come to final decision on your hypothesis and submit it in writing. The group with the
        closest guess receives ten BONUS points on the Unit Essay.
