Janise Cooper has specialized in hospitality design since 1976, when she collaborated with Howard Hirsch in the
creation of the first “all suite” concept trends; the Park Hyatt in Chicago, Illinois. She later formed Janise Cooper
Associates in 1983 with offices based in Glendale, California.

A graduate of Southern University in 1968, Janise Cooper is a superb designer, with an innate ability to bring jobs in
on budget, on schedule, and up to code. “We can get the impossible done,” states Cooper, whose many years of
experience and dedication to excellence in the craft have made her one of the highly respected designers in the
industry. She specializes in the “color and material” aspects of the design, custom carpets and fabrics, and detailing
custom furnishings to create the signature for the property.

Notable projects 1983-86 completed are the collaborative efforts with Texeira, Inc. on The Charming Inn at the Opera
in San Francisco, California, and a $5 million renovation of The Beverly Wilshire Hotel. The hotel’s lodging, banquet
and dining facilities are operating at 100% capacity, and the property has already been named one of the top ten new
hotels in the world by “Travel & Leisure” magazine. She hired Texeira to collaborate with JCA on the Loew’s Giorgio
“Tuscan” style hotel in Denver from 1985-86.

From 1987 to its opening in 1990, Janise Cooper designed and assisted in obtaining the furnishings and finishes for
the 125,000 sq. ft. Los Angeles Mission for the homeless, proving that she can persist on projects with the most
demanding budgets and special practical needs. The staff she managed grew to eight.

1990 brought a project to Janise Cooper & Associates for Warwick International Hotel chain. The Hotel
Westminster, Paris France, of the The Royal Windsor Hotel in Brussels, Belgium, listed in the 1990 “Leading
Hotels of the World” category is another recent project for the Warwick International Hotels. The exciting
“earthquake theme” restaurant, “the Epicentre” opened in June of 1991 in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, CA.
that was featured on CNN. JCA was called back for an adjoining “Epi” Deli next door.

In 1992, she did extensive residential work, for mainly Chinese clients with Josephine’s Drapery service.

In 1993, she traveled extensively consulting for the Shin Kong Executive offices for the top three floors of the tallest
high rise in Taipei, Taiwan. 1994 and 1995, In concert with Glenn Texeira of Texeira, Inc., she joined the design
team for the five-star Peninsula Bangkok; a twin tower structure with 350 guest rooms, 65 suites, three story lobby
lounge, trio of restaurants and meeting facilities. She is also consulted on three Four Seasons, and three Omni
Hotels. The soft goods renovation for the Doubletree Plaza las Robles in Pasadena was well received. She
consulted on project management in their offices for the Hillcrest Country Club, and the Euromil model room
programs in Berlin, Germany as well as the other twelve projects in the office, while Mr.Texeira traveled to all the
projects for the architectural design requirements.

1995 and 1996 brought JCA to Las Vegas, Nevada, while assisting Wilson & Associates for the grand plans a foot for
Caesar’s Palace, the Bellagio Buffet, and the MGM Grand hotels. She helped Thomas Design Group with Steve
Wynn’s new home in Sun Valley, Idaho in 1997. The renovation of the Redwood Grill in the California hotel in Las
Vegas, for Boyd Gaming Corporation also opened that year.

In collaboration with Harold Thompson & Associates in 1999 the new additional Tower annex to the Paradise Beach
Hotel, in Pusan, Korea opened. Also in Korea were a classy club supper club at the Sheraton Walker Hill Hotel in
Seoul, Korea, and the City Club in Manila. In total approximately eleven projects were designed in collaboration with
HTA from 1984-2001.

In 1998 to 1999, She assisted Anita Brooks, now known as ABA on the Walt Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge in
Orlando, Fl. She worked as an employee of the firm until the firm was sold in 1999. She then joined by Klai Juba for
the now closed 30,000 sq. ft. London Club at the Aladdin private casino, restaurants, and bar. After that project
opened in September 2000, she began two residential projects, renovating a ski chalet in Deer Valley, Utah 2001, the new
Herbst home in Las Vegas, NV 2002-3, and she worked with for Yates-Silverman on three periods until 2008. We
designed a golf resort for the Teddy Bear king in JeJu, Korea for HTA, and Mandalay Bay Beach Villas, Aliante for
Friedmutter Group. Her consulting has recently taken her to Shanghai, and Shenzhen China to work on four point
hotel properties. Our soon to open renovation of Victories Bar & Café is due to open mid 2012.
