Sometimes the tone of your voice says more than your words!
You can say the same word, but if your tone of voice is different it will
change the meaning of the word!
For example: “what”

When you use the appropriate tone of voice:
1.people are more likely to listen
2.you may avoid trouble
3.it increases your chances of getting
what you want
4.you will have a more positive reputation
with your peers
Facial Expressions
Feelings and emotions can be expressed just by
changing the way your face looks.
Its important to pay attention to the facial
expressions of others to gain information. If
someone looks at their watch and at the door
while you are discussing the Wii, they might be
getting bored!
You also need to be aware of how your face looks.
If you need help from a teacher don’t have an
angry look on your face.

expressions:
1.you may avoid getting in trouble
2.you make a good impression
3.you show respect
Voice Volume
How loud you talk and communicate
will vary depending on the situation.
It will also vary depending on who you
are with.
You may need to adjust your volume
if its not appropriate.

When you use appropriate volume:
1.others can hear you

Gestures include any kind of body
movement-eyes, hands, arms, whole body.
You can communicate many messages
through gestures!
For example:
Wave = Hello
Rolling your eyes = Yah right!
Pointing = Look at that!
Holding your nose = Something Stinks!
Turning around = Go Away!

1.you may make a good impression
