                                 District Reporting Responsibilities

  under the McKay or Opportunity Scholarship Program (Public).
 In the Prior School Status/Student Attendance Format indicate the
  primary type of educational choice option that applies.

When a scholarship student attends multiple private schools or a private
school and the public school in the same payment period, the right to retain
the scholarship amount shall be given to the first private school the student
attends for ten (10) or more school days during that payment period. If the
student does not attend a private school for at least ten (10) days and
attends a public school, then the funding generated, if any, shall be
retained by the school district and no scholarship payment shall be
generated.

  McKay Prepayment Verification File Changes
 McKay Prepayment Verification format is now listed as part of the
  student data base formats.
 Files will run nightly on during the processing window.
 Data submission now receives edit checks.
 Districts will receive a error report.
 Single record batch update will be permitted.
 Format contains several new elements.
 Record length is now 240 instead of 160.
 Survey Periods (aka reporting periods) will be A (August), B (October),
  C (January) and D (March).
 No blanks on data file will be allowed.
 No online availability for corrections.
 Dataset names consolidated, changed or deleted.
 Providing Entry (re-entry) or Withdrawal Date remains the same.
 Remaining fields will be populated for the districts.
 Key fields established.
 Format will deliver new race and ethnicity codes to districts.

Enroll Date:
        If the student is currently enrolled in public school please enter the most recent date of
enrollment into the district.

Withdrawal Date:
         If the student is not enrolled in public school please enter the date the student withdrew from
the district.
        For students never enrolled in the school district, all nines (99999999) should be entered in both
the Enroll and Withdrawal Date columns (Example: Military Intent Students)

 Posted on Northwest Regional Data Center (NWRDC) two weeks prior
  to payment processing
 Email Notification sent by DOE Management Information Systems (MIS)
  Office to District MIS and Superintendents
 Superintendents required to submit Certification Form verifying
  submitted data

            District Notification for FTE Reporting
After each of the scholarship payment dates, the district MIS contact is
provided with a file through NWRDC containing student information that
must be reported in the district’s FTE surveys.
It is extremely important that you report the students in the grade
level and program level indicated on the list because funds will be
deducted from your district in accordance with these data elements.

 This file is strictly for FTE reporting purposes
 The program level(s), hours, and FTE are provided for reporting the
  student

    FTE Reporting for Charter School Students

Section 1002.33(20)(a), Florida Statutes, requires equal access to student
information systems that are used by public schools in the district in which
the charter school is located.
