 School is like a prison
We can’t leave,
School is like an island
We are all trapped,
School is like a pie
It is good at first until you reach the crust,
School is like a toilet
It is full of germs,
School is like a salad
You have to put something on it to make it better,
School is like a stupid cat
It never dies,
School is like a garbage truck
It smells, it’s big and you can here it from a mile away,
School is like a baby
It always needs your attention,
School is like a shark By jacob gifford
It just keeps chasing,
School is like going to jail
You never want to go back,
As we walk our path of life,
    We meet people everyday.
Most are simply met by chance.
But, some are sent our way.

 These become special friends
 Whose bond we can't explain;
 The ones who understand us
And share our joy and pain.

To be apart of a family like mine
is so divine
where love is shown
hurt is shared
our love for each other is never impaired

we talk
we laugh
we cry

but we are a family
and we do it all together
for as a family
we do it all as one By: Makenzee

you hurt one
you hurt all
and as a family unit
we will all stand tall
Fun can stand for a lot
When you are happy you have fun
F can stand for friend
U can stand for unity
N can stand for necessity
Fun is a good time
Fun makes you want to run
Finding fun is fun
Fun for you and me
Friends are fun
Fun for happiness By Pamela Nikkole White
Fun in the sun
Fun friends are the best friends
I feel the shots taken
all the paint wasted
all the money spent
the dodging continues
you see people get hit.

The bruises and bumps you get
when the paint splatters
nothing else really matters By Brandon Jakob
If you were only one inch tall, you'd ride a worm to school.
The teardrop of a crying ant would be your swimming pool.
A crumb of cake would be a feast
And last you seven days at least,
A flea would be a frightening beast
If you were one inch tall.

If you were only one inch tall, you'd walk beneath the door,
And it would take about a month to get down to the store.
A bit of fluff would be your bed,
You'd swing upon a spider's thread,
And wear a thimble on your head
If you were one inch tall.
                                           By Shel Silverstein
I gave cuts to Larry, and he gave cuts to Jim.
Jim gave cuts to Cory; Mac cut in before him.
Mac gave cuts to Alex, and he gave cuts to Lee.
Dan took cuts before Tom, and he gave cuts to
   me.
And when we left for recess, out the classroom
   door,
Every boy in our line, stood where he was before.
