Revamped Mentoring Towards College program. Developed implementation plan for Mentoring
Towards College Project, designed curriculum and training modules for students and volunteers. IMPACT:
Recruited 200 corporate volunteer mentors and school-aged mentees to participate in pilot program.

Managed operations for school-based sites. Negotiated new partnership agreements with 5 metro
Atlanta school districts to use school facilities and serve more children through afterschool programs.
IMPACT: Expanded organization’s service area and community outreach. Added 1000 school children in
the first year.

Reorganized College Bound program. Assessed increases in drop out rates and declining graduation
rates. Developed a comprehensive educational prep program to increase the number of graduates and
encourage college enrollments. IMPACT: Increased number of inner city graduates from 45% to 85%.

Led fundraising activities. Solicited financial support from corporations, and individuals to support
education programs. Assisted with grants proposals totaling more than $5M. IMPACT: Sustained existing
programs, added new programs, increased clients served, exceeded fundraising goal and met budget.

Streamlined processes for new scholarship funds. Developed guidelines for establishing and
distributing scholarship funds. Familiarized donors with the process through one-on-one consultations.
IMPACT: Increased revenues by doubling the number of managed scholarship funds.

Spearheaded campaign to support Haitian relief efforts. Coordinated community involvement in a
drive for clothing, toiletries and monetary donations. Raised money to sponsor personal trip to Haiti to
