I. WHAT TAKES PLACE AT THE MOMENT OF DEATH?

FROM THIS WE LEARN:
1. When a man dies, his body returns to the earth, and his immortal soul leaves his body. Eccl 12:7
2. The soul of the believer is immediately received into heaven.   II Cor 5:8
3. The soul does not sleep in the grave.                           Lk 23:43
4. The souls of the lost go immediately into torment in Hell.      Lk 16:23

II. WHAT DO THE SCRIPTURES TEACH ABOUT CHRIST’S SECOND COMING?

FROM THIS WE LEARN:
1. The same Jesus who left will return visibly.         Acts 1:11     Rev 1:7

2. His return will be two-fold—1 for the saved.         I Thess 4:16-17
2b. Then He will return openly to judge the world.      Acts 17:31
3. No man knows when.                                   Mark 13:32
4. Jesus will set up his earthly kingdom.               Matt 25:31

III. WHAT DO THE SCRIPTURES TEACH ABOUT THE RESSURECTION OF THE BODY?
THE BIBLE SAYS:                 JOHN 5:28-29         JOB 19:25-27   PHIL 3:21 REV 20:5-6, 14
FROM THIS WE LEARN:
1. All that are in the grave shall come forth.       John 5:28-29
2. Bodies will be restored.                          Job 19:25-27
3. The bodies of believers will be glorified bodies. Phil 3:21
4. There will be 2 resurrections.                    Rev 20:5-6, 14

IV. WHAT DO THE SCRIPTURES TEACH ABOUT THE FINAL JUDGEMENT?
THE BIBLE SAYS:                II COR 5:10 ACTS 17:31             MATT 10:28       REV 20:15
FROM THIS WE LEARN:
1. We must all appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ. II Cor 5:10
2. Jesus will judge the world in righteousness.               Acts 17:31
3. Both soul & body will be destroyed in Hell.                Matt 10:28
4. Unbelievers not listed in the Book of Life will be cast into the Lake of Fire. Rev 20:15
