RESVERATROL Wine. No other beverage has attracted the attention of modern medicine like this drink. Although it is most widely known for its benefits for the heart, wine has benefits against cancer, dementia, and other agerelated diseases. Researchers in Denmark recently looked at 25,000 people to find out what drinking alcohol does to mortality and discovered that wine drinkers slash their overall risk of dying from any cause by about 40%. The active ingredient wine is Resveratrol. Resveratrol has captured the attention of the world's health and scientific communities for its potential health benefits. The potential benefits of resveratrol has been extensively covered by The New York Times, CNN, USA Today, Science Daily, and the National Cancer Institute. Resveratrol is a powerful antioxidant found in the skins of grapes and in the roots and stems of the Japanese Knotweed plant. Antioxidants are substances which help to reduce and even prevent the formation of destructive chemicals in the body called free radicals. Free radicals are unstable molecules that attack healthy cells and damage membranes. Free radicals attack the systems of the body even to the DNA level leaving us less able to fight off the effects of disease and aging. As a strong antioxidant, Resveratrol may protect the body by ending the free radical chain reaction before vital molecules are harmed. Elimination of free radicals can provide life prolonging effects through cell renewal. Since the skins of grapes are used in making wine, resveratrol is also present in wine, especially red wine. Some researchers suggest the presence of resveratrol in red wine may explain the "French Paradox". The "French Paradox" is a puzzling fact that people in southern France enjoy high dietary intake of saturated fats yet suffer less incidence of coronary heart disease. In my opinion, this is an excellent substance and one that has lived up to its strong reputation. Along with Hgh Plus, adding Resveratrol is an excellent idea for a powerful Anti Aging Program.
