                             What is NABCO

   The National Association of Black County Officials (NABCO) was founded
   in 1975 to provide elected and appointed black county officials with a forum to
   review, share and develop responses to local and national issues. NABCO
   interfaces with local and federal government agencies to advocate a minority
   view on issues of importance to the sustainability of minority and low-income
   communities. NABCO is a caucus of the National Association of Counties
   (NACo).




                               Membership Benefits
Established by NABCO in 1987, the Business Round Table (BRT) was established to
strengthen its public - private relationships, have meaningful business dialog with its members
and become a portal for business. BRT Membership benefits include:
    1. Direct access to a national network of elected and appointed county officials;
    2. Opportunity to present your company to the NABCO network;
    3. Providing officials with membership information for business support and contracting
        opportunities;
    4. Opportunity to develop substantial relationships with businesses and officials who have
        stakeholder interest(s) in public entities;
    5. Become an Information Exchange for business opportunities;
    6. Discounted registration to all conference, seminars and special events;
    7. Sponsor, co-sponsor or host NABCO or NOBCO annual meetings, conferences,
        workshops, seminars or special events;
    8. Create and/or co-facilitate workshops/seminars which educate officials and BRT
        members;
    9. Serve as advocates for diversity and inclusion with members’ respective entities;
    10. A listing in the BRT Membership Directory.

The BRT is a powerful forum that affords its members information that will be mutually beneficial,
netting reciprocal results and maximize their membership. BRT members profit through direct
communication with NABCO’s membership who advocate partnerships. The BRT provides
technical advice and assistance on a variety of issues including:

      Environmental Services
      Finance and Investments
      Insurance
      Real Estate
      Technology
      Telecommunications

In addition, BRT supports and works closely with the National Board of Directors and staff of the
National Organization of Black County Officials, Inc. (NOBCO) on various programs including the
National Economic Development Conference, the Harold Hayden Scholarship Fund and the
Legacy Initiative.
