							      Rubric for Parent/Student Interview-Essay

  The questionnaire has a solid,
  typewritten interview answer
  from the parent/guardian for          30
      each interview question.
The essay is type-written, single-
 spaced, 12-point, Times Roman
   font and at least one page in        10
               length.
  It includes both a summary of
 the parent/guardian discussion
 that resulted and the student’s        20
 opinion on the portions of that
    discussion that the student
 found most thought-provoking
           or interesting.
   There are no grammatical or
    mechanical mistakes on the
              resume.                    10
  The student’s essay-thoughts
   show both knowledge of the
   articles and insights gleaned         20
 from the exercise as a whole. It
  must be clear that the articles
were read, actual discussion with
 adults occurred, and reflection
on both those elements entered
 the student’s finished product.
   The rubric is attached to the
   front of the assignment and
    includes the name, date of            10
   submission, period and main
              teacher.
