Earthmovers 2012 Initial Nomination Form (Part A)
Seeing things differently – to recognise a campaign or project run by a
group in the last 12 months with a strong creative element or that has shown a new approach.
We’re looking for campaigns or projects that have included innovative methods of engaging
new people with environmental issues or imaginative ways of presenting an issue to a wider
audience.
A panel of Board and local group members will shortlist four nominations in this category
which will be showcased and voted on by delegates at our annual Conference (14-16
September, Imperial College, London). More information can be seen at
www.foe.co.uk/earthmovers
How to use this form
Use this form to nominate a campaign or project for the See Things Differently category. Please answer
the questions to outline the campaign or project and why it should be nominated for the award.
This category has a two-stage nomination process.
Initial Nomination Form (Part A) - This form. This is the first step - to be completed by the person
making the nomination. Local group members, volunteers and staff can use this form to nominate,
and you may nominate the group you are a member of or another group.
Nominee Information Form (Part B) - This step is to be completed by the nominated group.
Usually Part A will be returned to us first. We will then contact the nominated group so that they can
complete Part B - which provides more in-depth information that will be used to shortlist the
nominations. If you are nominating your own group please include your contact details, or the
contact details of the group coordinator, and we will contact you for further information..
Deadlines
This form must be received by Friday 6 July 2012.
This is to allow time for nominees to complete the Nominee Information Form (Part B).
Nominations can still be made after this date, but will only be accepted if they include both Part A and Part
B together. The deadline for this is Monday 6 August 2012.
***A nomination is not complete unless both forms (Part A and B) have been submitted***
Please ensure you answer all questions, with your total response for all questions being no more than 500
words in length. (To help your word count, the existing text in Questions 1-4 is 79 words.) This is a
maximum; so if you can answer the questions using fewer words, please do so. You are welcome to use
bullet points to help you answer a question more succinctly.
