For Immediate Release For more information: Robin Ware 866.864.5611 or ghf05.com December 14, 2004—Get Ready! Get Ready Get Ready! It’s going to be a power-packed weekend as Gospel luminaries converge on Atlanta, GA, Feb 10-12, 2005 to celebrate the nation’s largest and most prestigious Praise & Worship conference. Already, there is excitement in the air regarding the keynote speakers and artists slated to take part in Heritage ‘05. Opening the conference will be Dr. Marvin Sapp, who has soared as one of the most dynamic preaching singers in the country. Sapp’s meteoric rise in the industry has been further catapulted by his recent Verity Records hits, “You Are God Alone” and “One Thing.” Following the opening session will be the annual GHF Conference luncheon featuring Pastor Andrae Crouch as keynote speaker and introducing the debut release from Gospel Today Entertainment (GTE). Pastor Crouch has forged a path in history via his many ground-breaking compositions and cross-over hits. Meanwhile, the new GTE project features the “live” session from the 2004 GHF Conference. Industry insiders are already buzzing about this awesome project, produced by Donald Lawrence. The annual Gospel Heritage Awards will highlight that Thursday evening (Feb 10). Fans and friends alike will gather to salute Gospel legends, Rev. Daryl Coley, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Luther Barnes and Fred Hammond. There will also be a memorial salute to the late Thomas Whitfield. Kicking off the second morning (Feb. 11, 2005) of the conference, Pastor Hezekiah Walker will address GHFdelegates. Walker is the pastor of the Love Fellowship church in Brooklyn, NY; and is also one of Gospel’s most accomplished artists. That afternoon, attendees will be treated to a luncheon by sponsors, GHEDI Entertprises and Integrity Gospel. GHEDI is an enterprise that develops Christian entrepreneurs and business people. This luncheon event will be a true centerpiece of the conference, echoing the theme for the weekend, “Establishing Generational Wealth” and combining musical excellence in the praise and worship genre…something Integrity Gospel has imprinted upon the industry. Integrity artists, Stephen Hurd, Joe Pace and Lisa McClendon will share at this event. Later that evening, history will again be made with the annual “live” recording. Loosely titled, “Sho-nuff Praise,” the evening will be one you won’t want to miss. On the final day of the weekend, a special breakfast event will honor “Women in Ministry” from the state of Georgia. This promises to be one of the conference’s most inspirational moments, with Bishop Millicent Hunter, of Philadelphia, Pa., serving as keynote speaker. The action packed conference will roll on with a late morning session featuring host pastor, Bishop Dale Bronner. Although his late father made his mark as one of Atlanta’s top businessmen, Bishop Bronner is fast becoming one of the most dynamic and sought-after speakers in the country. The closing session is worth the wait! Bishop Walter Hawkins, Byron Cage and Bishop Noel Jones will serve as psalmists and speaker…what a way to celebrate! While all these activities will certainly appeal to all age brackets, GHF is showing its love for tomorrow’s leaders by putting particular focus on today’s young people. This segment is being sponsored by the Greater Atlanta McDonald’s Owner/Operator Association (GAMOA). This year’s Youth Division will present an awesome slate of speakers who will focus on helping young people learn to maximize their potential as creative forces to lead as politicians, businesspeople, educators, entertainers or religious leaders. Gospel artists, Tonex and Tye Tribbett are among the featured speakers. Additionally, there will be a “Youth Praise Joint” on Thursday, Feb 10, a special lunch presentation on Friday, followed by a theatrical performance of a national touring play titled, “The Boyfriend/Girlfriend Thang,” which focuses on the very pertinent topic of abstinence. On Saturday, Feb 12, youth and college choirs will engage in a “friendly” “College & Youth Choir Competition” vying for cash scholarship prizes totaling $10,000! Heritage ’05 is destined to be one of the best events of the year! It’s the place to be Feb 10-12, 2005. For more information: ghf05.com or 866.864.5611.
