Long-Term Care on Your Family"
& Concerns You have likely seen the statistics that talk about the risk of
needing long-term care as you age. And like most, you've told
Celebrations yourself "It will never happen to me." You may very well be
right. But what if you're not?
Received in membership on Sunday, December 11:
Jamie & Colleen Clark, Deb Cooksey & Tom Wehrle Join us on January 18, 2012 from 7:00-9:00 at Pilgrim Church
and Eric Wieland for a discussion on extended care and caring for our loved ones.
Jeff Belisle, a local financial services professional, will be
providing his personal and professional experiences in dealing
with this important issue. Rev. Julie Cedrone, Associate
Concerns Minister at Pilgrim Church, will be joining him to discuss the
church's role in the caregiving journey.

as they mourn the loss of Barbara Dumont. I know that most of you, like me, are counting down the
days to the Annual Meeting on January 22, and I hope
you’ll help spice up the format this year. We’ll discuss the
Barbara Clark budget and nominate new committee members as we
always do, but let’s reserve time for some open
discussion, too. What should the committees and Church
Chuck & Debby Young’s Council be working on in 2012? Which programs need
daughter, Anna some help? Where should we concentrate our building
maintenance efforts? What else? What’s next?

Do you remember that we were planning a Valentine’s Day

We’ve spoken with many of you to gauge your enthusiasm,

1) We definitely want to find a concrete way to pay tribute
Sunday, January 8 to Jon
11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Bible 101 2) We definitely like the idea of a social gathering in

I have a small garden, a pathetic garden actually. Even my
young kids rank on it. But I do like it. Gardening ties oneself
to the infinite without even knowing it sometimes. The
thought that something will grow is purely based on faith.
The thought of having something actually edible is based on
hope. What does a gardener actually do? I put some
seemingly lifeless seeds in the dirt and water them right away.
