Invitation from English Australia
The English Australia Conference continues to re-invent itself in response to its contexts of operation, aiming to deliver a
stimulating program in 2012 that will support and engage the sector and will attract the delegates that our sponsors and
exhibitors want to meet. We continue to make improvements that will deliver better networking opportunities and
position the event as the “must attend” event for the English language sector of the international education industry.

The English Australia Conference 2012 has a theme of “Re-shaping our Future”. This theme acknowledges the challenges
of recent years and the need for the industry to be proactive in engaging with developments, both in Australia and
overseas, and positioning itself to take advantage of opportunities for growth.

We have made a number of changes for 2012, including:
    consolidating the program into two days – Thursday and Friday;
    introducing a pre-conference “ELICOS Leaders Day” on Wednesday to attract senior leaders from the industry;
    offering an extended Welcome Event on Wednesday evening to allow for networking prior to the commencement
       of the Conference;
    integrating new software that will provide an agenda builder, networking solution and social community for the
       Conference – this will provide additional exposure for sponsors and exhibitors and delegates will benefit from a
       unique tool to optimise their conference participation through improved networking facilitation.

The Conference program targets the professional and career development needs of all staff working within the ELICOS
sector, regardless of the nature of their work within the industry. Member and industry support for the conference in
recent years has been overwhelming, with evaluations expressing very high levels of satisfaction. For many working in and
alongside ELICOS, the English Australia Conference is viewed as a ‘must-attend’ event for key staff.

The English Australia Conference provides an important annual forum for those working in the ELICOS sector to exchange
views, to keep themselves updated on domestic and international developments, to develop skills across a broad
spectrum of areas, to gain greater awareness and understanding of career pathway opportunities within and related to the
sector, and to network with a range of delegates from within and outside the sector.

This national ELICOS industry event is of relevance to anyone providing services related to the delivery of English language
programs to international learners. The English Australia Conference 2012 provides numerous opportunities for suppliers
to network and do business with teachers, academic and business managers, marketing staff, student services staff,
registration staff, teacher trainers, administrators, government stakeholders, and promotional bodies.

I urge you to consider this proposal and join us for English Australia Conference 2012, the flagship event for the ELICOS
sector in Australia.

Industry exhibition opportunities
Book and pay by 1 July 2012 for the earlybird rate!
The industry exhibition will be a major component of the English Australia Conference 2012 and will attract exhibitors from throughout the
English language teaching industry. The location of the conference sessions has been designed to maximise exhibitor exposure to
delegates.

The focus of activity and the prime networking area for both delegates and exhibitors outside sessions is in the exhibition area. Over and
above the industry booths, the exhibition area will host catering stations for the coffee breaks, welcome event and lunches. This enables
delegates to utilise their out of session time to roam the industry exhibition area and network with colleagues.

Why exhibit?
The English Australia Conference 2012 exhibition offers the perfect opportunity to raise your profile and build relationships with key
decision makers in the English language teaching industry. If your organisation has a vested interest in this industry, you cannot afford to
miss this opportunity.
