A Brief Overview of Out Of Body Experience

You've almost certainly at least heard of Out Of Body before. You might have learned of it from a
book or movie or perhaps a friend has been talking about it. While you know the term and maybe
even have an idea of what it is, what you probably don't know is that this is not something which
only happens in fiction.

However, it seems very few know that out of body is a genuine occurrence. It is something that we
can all naturally do. You may have even projected and never realize that you did so. Many people

First though, what is Out Of Body Experience? To put it in the simplest possible terms, Out Of
Body is leaving your physical body. It's something that often happens when you go to sleep. As
your body rests, your conscious mind does as well but your subconscious remains active. This is
when we are most likely to astral project, although most people do it without having any memory of
the act.

When you astral project, there are no limits to what you can do or where you can go. When you
were young, you could do this with ease in your sleep. As we get older most of us lose our knack
for this and we need to practice again to do it at will.

For those that may not be aware of the various bodies other than the physical. out of body is done
with the astral body. It is often referred to as the ethereal body because of both its duplication of
the physical body and its lack of substance. It is in essence an invisible body. The in turn leads to
the question of how is the astral body attached to the physical body. The answer is it is attached
with what is often referred to as the silver cord.

The silver cord first connects as the astral body enters the physical body. This is not exhausted
until after death when the astral body leaves the physical body for the last time. This silver cord
prevents the astral body from not returning.

Another question that is often asked is where the astral body travels to when a person engages in
out of body. The astral body moves along the astral plane. This is, as the astral body is a duplicate
for the physical, a duplicate of the physical world. There are a number of ways that it can be
described. In some descriptions, it is described as a set of vibrations, which penetrate physical
reality but are at a wavelength that separates it from the physical world. It can also be described
as a secondary reality or another dimension. What is agreed upon with the descriptions is that
there are multiple levels to the astral plane.

Naturally, you may question as to the dangers of Out of Body. Yes and no is the answer. Out of
Body is something we are all capable of doing. We also know that the astral body can exit the
physical body and will return. However, as with all things you should be sensible. What this means
is that you do need good solid thinking skills and know what you want in order to go where you
want to go.

The dangerous part about Out of Body is when an individual does this when their minds aren't
right. A person should not do Out of Body under the influence of drugs or alcohol because they
may wind up in some very bad locations. These bad locations would be located on the astral
plane's lower levels.

Only practice Out of Body when you are in the right frame of mind and after having decided where
you want your astral body to visit in your travels. It's important to have full control over your astral
body to ensure a safe and enjoyable Out of Body experience.

With the proper preparation, you can begin learning to astral project in little time. Most people like
to do their Out of Body while alone in the privacy of their home. That said, there are Out of Body
professionals who conduct group astral travel sessions in order to help others learn how to control
their Out of Body and to make the most of the experience. You may want to try Out of Body both
on your own and in a group under the guidance of a professional.

The internet is a good place to find help with your Out Of Body training. Especially good are Out
Of Body hypnosis recordings. These recordings are designed to help you achieve the meditative
state needed to astral project. A lot of people prefer these recordings to one on one lessons since
they can be listened to repeatedly until their subliminal messages reach the subconscious and
your body reaches a state of total relaxation.

A new audio technology called binaural beats is also effective at inducing the state of relaxation
required for out of body. Two slightly different frequencies are played over each audio channel,
tuning your mind into the proper state to astral project.

You should not become frustrated when you are not successful at Out of Body when you first
begin. You must practice the art to perfect it. It is not something you must acquire, since we are all
capable of doing it. However, you need to fine-tune your natural ability since you have forgotten it.

Still skeptical? Think back to a time when you dreamed you were flying, or felt a sensation of
falling. The flying sensation was your astral body moving through the astral planes. The feeling of
falling was when you felt your astral body returning to your physical body.
Out of Body is very real and with a little work, you can learn to do it anytime you like.
