Dear Parents,

The DRES Specialist Team is sponsoring our second annual Talent Show
here at Durant Road Elementary!! The Talent Show will take place on
Thursday April 26, 2012 at 6:30pm. We are looking for interested
students who would like to showcase their talent.

These are the following talents that we are looking for:

      Dancing (Dance and accompanying music must be appropriate for
       elementary school)
      Singing (No lip synching)
      Playing a musical instrument (Piano, Guitar, violin, Saxophone, etc.)
      Skits/Monologues
      Comedy Act (Must be appropriate for elementary school)

All talent acts must be three minutes or less, and in order to participate in
the talent show all interested applicants need to return an
Application/Permission Form by Friday March 16, 2012 for Tracks 3
and 4, and by Thursday April 5, 2012 for Tracks 1 and 2. Please
turn them in to Ms. Rehnlund in the art classroom. All interested
participants must have a signed Application/Permission Form from
their parent or guardian. You will need to provide transportation for all
events leading up to and including the show night. If students are not
picked up in a timely manner, they will not be allowed to participate
further. There will be an audition for your track. Auditions will be held on
the following dates: March 19th (Tracks 3&4) and April 9th (Tracks 1 &
2). All auditions will take place in the Art and Music rooms from 2:30 –
4:00pm. Please note that students will be judged during the audition and
only a select number of students will be chosen for show night, based on
specific criteria. Due to our large student population, we are unable to
allow all applicants to be selected. We have a limited amount of space for
the show. We appreciate your understanding and you explaining this to
your child prior to the audition. Please see further guidelines on the
